Soft: Sharon’s Vogan Strikes Out 18 in Perfect Game, Hits Homer for Good Measure Powered by N. Washington Rodeo

CORRY, Pa. – Sharon freshman Maddy Vogan had a game for the ages against Corry.

Vogan fired a perfect game, recording 18 of her 21 outs via strikeout and also belted a home run, a double and had two RBIs in a 6-0 win over the Beavers.

Vogan finished 3-for-3 at the plate.

Sharon scored two runs each in the first and second inning and added a run in the seventh.

Mya Bundrant was also 1-for-3 with two RBIS and Claire Bodien 1-for-3 with an RBI.

   

                  

Payton McCray took the loss, allowing four runs (two earned) in 1 ⅔ innings on three hits, striking out three and walking three.

CATHEDRAL PREP 16, ERIE 0, 4 innings

ERIE, Pa. – Emily Dudenhoeffer was 2-for-3 with two doubles and four RBIs as Cathedral Prep beat Erie, 16-0 in four innings

Madison Simmerman was 2-for-3 with two RBIs for Prep, which scored five runs each in both the first, second and fourth innings, and Emalie Thomas also had a pair of RBIs.

Morgan Madura allowed just one hit in four innings to get the win, striking out nine without issuing a walk.

                          

FAIRVIEW 15, MERCYHURST PREP 2, 5 innings

FAIRVIEW, Pa. – Ellery Nornhold was 2-for-4 with two doubles and five RBIs as Fairview beat Mercyhurst Prep, 15-2 in four innings.

The Tigers scored 11 runs in the first inning en route to the win.

Taylor Polach was 4-for-4 with two RBIs and three runs for Fairview, while Jenna Skzlenski was 2-for-3 with three RBIs.

               

Jocelyn Terella got the win, allowing two runs (one earned) in five innings on seven hits, striking out four and walking one.
