Base: Hamilton Does it all in McDowell Win; Klink’s First Inning Slam Powers CASH Powered by N. Washington Rodeo

ERIE, Pa. – Nick Hamilton fired a 1-hit shutout as McDowell beat General McLane, 8-0.

Hamilton struck out eight and walked two.

McDowell scored four runs in the first inning en route to the win. Hamilton and Jake Hower both homered, with Hower driving in three runs and Hamilton two. Evan Stranko was 3-for-4 and scored two runs.

CONNEAUT 4, FRANKLIN 3

LINESVILLE, Pa. – Greg Klink’s grand slam in the first inning proved to be all Conneaut needed in a 4-3 win over Franklin.

                  

Klink finished with three of Conneaut’s four hits.

Wyatt Kornman got the win, allowing two runs in four innings on five hits, striking out five.

Evan Turner, Drew Kockler and Alex Wible (solo home run) had one RBI each for Franklin.

Ethan Nightingale took the loss, allowing four runs (three earned) in four innings on four hits, striking out eight.

CATHEDRAL PREP 11, MEADVILLE 8

                          

MEADVILLE, Pa. – Trailing 8-7, Cathedral Prep scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning to rally past Meadville, 11-8.

Joe Flanagan tied the game on an RBI single, while a wild pitch allowed the ninth run to come across, Justice Laird hit a sacrifice fly, and another wild pitch allowed the 11th run to come across.

Andrew Costello homered for the Ramblers and finished 3-for-4 with two RBIs and four runs, while Laird drove in three runs and Flanagan and Jason Fultz Jr. had two hits and an RBI each.

Brighton Anderson had a big day for Meadville, going 2-for-5 with a home run and four RBIs, while Cam Arpin was 2-for-2 with two RBIs.

FAIRVIEW 5, HARBOR CREEK 3

               

HARBORCREEK, Pa. – A Pat Stafford RBI single broke a 3-3 tie in the eighth inning as Fairview beat Harbor Creek, 5-3.

Fairview’s second run of the eighth came across on an error.

Adam Milam homered and drove in a pair of runs for the Tigers, while Andrew Stevens was 3-for-4 with an RBI and Caleb Szklenski was 2-for-3 with two runs scored.

Ed Dolansky got the win in relief with two scoreless innings, striking out four.

Caden Folmar homered and drive in two runs for Harbor Creek.

Preston Lanagan took the loss, allowing two unearned runs in two innings on one hit, walking four and striking out three.

SAEGERTOWN 9, CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS 1

SAEGERTOWN, Pa. – Blake Burchill, Levi Gardner and Gabriel Jordan drove in two runs each as Saegertown beat Cambridge Springs, 9-1.

Burchill and Gardner had two hits each, while Wyatt Burchill was 1-for-3 and scored two runs and William Shaffer was 1-for-2 with an RBI and two runs.

            

Wyatt Burchill got the win, going five innings and allowing two hits, striking out four and walking three.

Quinn Simmerman had an RBI for Cambridge Springs.

YOUNGSVILLE 3, KANE 2

MT. JEWETT, Pa. – Matt DeSimone’s RBI single in the top of the seventh inning broke a 2-2 tie and lifted Youngsville to a 3-2 win over Kane.

Youngsville had taken a 2-0 lead on a James Johnson RBI single and a Wyatt Dalrymple sacrifice fly, but Kane tied the game in the bottom of the fourth with RBI singles from Kane Sharba and Kyle Zook.

Nate Lucks tossed 2 ⅓ hitless innings of relief, striking out four to get the win, while Johnson and DeSimone finished with two hits each for the Eagles.

Brock Wensel took the loss, allowing one run on two hits in ⅔ of an inning.

ERIE 2, WARREN 1

WARREN, Pa. – RJ Hawkins fired a 5-hitter to lead Erie to a 2-1 win over Warren.

Hawking struck out six and walked one.

Erie scored one run in each of the first two innings, with Josue Rosario and Hawkins driving in one run each.

Brady Berdine pitched well in defeat for Warren, allowing two runs (one earned) in 6 ⅓ innings on three hits, striking out 11 and walking two. Berdine was also 2-for-3 with an RBI.

IROQUOIS 17, EISENHOWER 7, 6 innings

ERIE, Pa. – Iroquois scored eight runs in the fourth inning of a 17-7, 6-inning win over EIsenhower.

Jayden Hadlock was 3-for-5 with five RBIs for Iroquois, while Ethan Alderson was 2-for-3 with two RBIs, Hunter Alderson was 4-for-4 with two RBIs and four runs and Reilly Brown was 2-for-4 with three runs and an RBI.

Hunter Aldreson got the win, going 4 ⅔ innings and allowing seven runs on seven hits, striking out three.

Shawn Pascuzzi drove in a pair of runs for Eisenhower, while Johnny Palmieri was 2-for-4 with an RBI and Caleb Degnan 1-for-4 with an RBI.

CORRY 4, FORT LEBOEUF 2

WATERFORD< Pa. – Kamdyn Moon, Zack Coulter and Levi Ehrhart drove in one run each as Corry beat Fort LeBoeuf, 4-2.

Moon finished with a a pair of hits for the Beavers.

Moon went five innings to get the win, allowing two runs on nine hits, striking out one.

Jackson Lewis was 2-for-4 with an RBI for LeBoeuf.

Matt Herr took the loss, allowing three unearned runs in five innings on one hit, striking out six and walking two.

SHARON 4, OIL CITY 1

SHARON, Pa. – Mark Cattron drove in a pair of runs and pitched six strong innings as Sharon beat Oil City, 4-1.

Cattron allowed one unearned run on five hits, striking out six and walking five.

Angelo Fromm was also 2-for-3 with an RBI for Sharon.

Wil McMahon had two hits for Oil City. Jacob Teeter took the loss, allowing four runs (two earned) in five innings on eight hits, striking out five.

GIRARD 8, NORTHWESTERN 1

ALBION, Pa. – Mason Kalicky (home run), Tyler Gilmore and Zach Kelley drove in two runs each as Girard beat Northwestern, 8-1.

Carson Stevens pitched a complete game gem, allowing just one run on four hits, striking out 12 and walking two.

Gabe Hutchison had an RBI for Northwestern.

SENECA 6, NORTH EAST 5

WATTSBURG, Pa. – Klayton Komisarski was 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs as Seneca edged North East, 6-5.

Lucas Rupp was also 2-for-4 with an RBI for Seneca, which took the lead for good with a 3-run fourth inning.

Komisarski got the win, allowing five runs (three earned) in six innings on nine hits, striking out three.

Tommy Owens was 3-for-4 with an RBI for North East, while Jerek Torlij hit a solo home run and Braydon Cornman was 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Andrew Aspden took the loss, allowing six runs in 3 ⅔ innings.

LAKEVIEW 5, SHARPSVILLE 3

SHARPSVILLE, Pa. – Lakeview scored three runs in the sixth inning on its way to a 5-3 win over Sharpsville.

Owen Dye was 2-for-2 with an RBI and two runs for the Sailors, while Grady Harbaugh and Maddox Bell drove in one run each.

Bell got the win in relief, going three innings and allowing one run on two hits, striking out two and walking two.

Luke Distler, Caullin Summers and Gabe Titus drove in one run each for Sharpsville.

Carter Dejulia took the loss, allowing four runs in 5 ⅔ innings on five hits, striking out three and walking five.

WEST MIDDLESEX 7, JAMESTOWN 2</strong?

JAMESTOWN, Pa. – Bowen Briggs and Tyler Blanton drove in two runs each as West Middlesex beat Jamestown, 7-2.

Evan Gilson was 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI for West Middlesex, while Caleb Koncar was 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Kyle Gilson fired a 2-hitter for the Big Reds, allowing two unearned runs on two hits, striking out 11 and walking two.

Gage Planavsky drove in a run for Jamestown.

WILMINGTON 9, MERCER 8

MERCER, Pa. – Wilmington scored four runs in both the second and third innings in a 9-8 win over Mercer.

Tyler Mikulin had a big day at the plate for Wilmington, going 3-for-5 with three RBIs, while Chase Mitcheltree was 2-for-4 with an RBI and Rocky Serafino 1-for-3 with an RBI.

Mikulin got the win,m going 5 ⅔ innings and allowing eight runs (three earned) on seven hits, striking out six and walking two.

Jayden Amos homered and drove in three runs for Mercer.
