Base: Link Helps Union/ACV Past N. Clarion; Bash Pitches, Hits Brockway to First Win Powered by N. Washington Rodeo

DUBOIS, Pa. – Sebastian Link drove in three runs to help A-C Valley/Union to a 12-2, five-inning win over North Clarion at Stern Field in DuBois.

Link was 2-for-3 with a walk and two runs scored.

Adrian Schmoll added a pair of RBIs in the win going 3-for-3 while Trey Fleming was 1-for-2 with a triple, two walks, an RBI, and two runs scored. Colbin Elliott also went 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI with Carter McGarvey going 2-for-4 with an RBI.

LeRoy Ochs was 1-for-1 with a walk and two RBIs for North Clarion.

   

                  

Fleming and Chase Ruth combined to throw a four-hitter for the Falcon Knights.

Fleming went the first two and allowed two unearned runs on two hits and a walk while striking out three.

Ruth got the win going three innings allowing two hits and a walk while striking out four.

BROCKWAY 4, KANE 1

BROCKWAY, Pa. – Dylan Bash tossed a five-hit complete game to lead Brockway to a 4-1 win over visiting Kane.

                          

Bash was charged with one unearned run. He walked two and struck out eight.

Bash helped his own cause going 1-for-3 with a double, a run scored, and two RBIs.

Jeremy Swanson was also 1-for-3 with a double, a walk, and two runs scored for the Rovers.

Dane Anderson went 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored for Kane.

               

Phinn Chamberlain took the loss pitching four innings allowing three runs, one earned, on three hits and three walks while striking out two.

KARNS CITY 13, MONITEAU 7

BUTLER, Pa. – Hobie Bartoe went 2-for-5 with a double, a run scored, and three RBIs to lead Karns City to a 13-7 win over rival Moniteau at Michelle Krill Field at Historic Pullman Park.

Jacob Callihan added a 3-for-5 day with a triple, a run scored, and RBI, while Troy Nagel was 2-for-3 with a walk and an RBI.

Mason Sherwin was also 2-for-3 with a run scored for the Gremlin, and Tyler Kelly was 3-for-3 with a double, a walk, two RBIs, and three runs scored. Joey O’Donnell also went 2-for-4 with a double, two runs scored, and two RBIs.

Jones got the win going 4 ⅓ innings allowing three runs, two earned, on five hits and three walks while striking out four. Sherwin then finished off going 2 ⅔ innings allowing four runs, two earned, on six hits while striking out four.

Keagan Book was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs for Moniteau while Landon Kelly went 2-for-4 with a double, a run scored, and an RBI.

Connor Ealy also drove in two runs for the Warriors going 1-for-3 with a walk and two runs scored, and Dawson Cooke was 2-for-4 with a run scored.

Dawson Wallace took the loss going two innings allowing six earned runs on seven hits while striking out two.

DUBOIS 6, BROOKVILLE 2

            

DUBOIS, Pa. – Noah Farrell and Samson Deeb combined on a six-hitter, as DuBois beat Brookville, 6-2, a Showers Field in DuBois.

Farrell started and went the first three innings scoreless. He gave up two hits and five walks while striking out six. Deeb then came on and went four innings to get the win. He allowed two earned runs on four hits and five walks while striking out three.

Kaden Clark, Tyler Wingard, Farrell, and Tyler Chamberlin led the way on offense for the Beavers.

Clark was 2-for-3 with a triple, two runs scored, and two RBIs.

Wingard was 2-for-3 with two RBIs, and Farrell went 2-for-4 with two runs scored. Chamberlain was 2-for-3 with a run scored.

Owen Fleming stayed hot for Brookville going 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, while Ladd Blake 2-for-4 with a run scored.

Sam Krug took the loss going four innings allowing five runs, four earned, on nine hits and a walk while striking out four.

CRANBERRY 15, FOREST AREA 0, 3 INNINGS

TIONESTA, Pa. – A 14-run second inning helped Cranberry to a 15-0, three-inning win over Forest Area at West Forest.

Landon Burgdorfer was 2-for-2 with a double, a walk, a run scored, and four RBIs for the Berries while Blake Marchinke went 2-for-3 with three runs scored and three RBIs.

Alex McIntyre also drove in a pair of runs going 1-for-1 with a walk and two runs scored.

Connor Morrow added a double, a walk, and an RBI in the win and was the winning pitcher giving up one hit, two walks, and a hit batter in three innings of work. He struck out seven.

CAMERON COUNTY 12, BUCKTAIL 2, 6 INNINGS

EMPORIUM, Pa. – Ryan Shaffer and Jesop Farabaugh each drove in a pair of runs to help Cameron County to a 12-2, six-inning win over visiting Bucktail.

Shaffer was on base four times going 2-for-3 with a walk while also being hit by a pitch. He scored twice.

Farabaugh went 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored.

Maddox Baughman was also 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored for the Red Raiders, Cayden Trumpie went 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs discord, and Torin Bayhart was 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Baughman, Treyton Tucker, and Gage Trumpie each threw two innings.

Baughman’s and Trumpie’s innings were scoreless with each giving up a hit. Baughman struck out two and hit one while Trumpie struck out one and hit one.

Tucker allowed two runs on four hits, a walk, and three hit batters.
