Base: Warren Rallies Past Meadville; Cambridge Springs, Saegertown, Sharon Triumph Powered by N. Washington Rodeo

MEADVILLE, Pa. – A 4-run fourth inning helped key Warren in a 9-7 win over Meadville.

The Dragons trailed 5-2 before the surge. Eight of the nine starters in the Warren lineup had at least one hit.

Tage Wyman, Felix Valencia and Elijah Snyder all had two hits, with Wyman and Valencia each driving in a run. Aidan Zdarko was 1-for-2 with an RBI, and Brady Berdine was 1-for-4 and scored a pair of runs.

Zdarko gave up seven unearned runs in 4 ⅔ innings on five hits, striking out three and walking two. Konnor Hoffman pitched 2 ⅓ scoreless innings of relief to get the save, striking out two and walking one.

Rocco Woodrow, Adian Kliest and Cam Arpin had one RBI each for Meadville. AJ Feleppa took the loss, allowing six runs (four earned) in four innings, allowing 10 hits and striking out four.

                  

OIL CITY 8, SLIPPERY ROCK 4

OIL CITY, Pa. – Justen Dunkle was 3-for-3 with an RBI as Oil City beat Slippery Rock, 8-4.

Jacob Teeter, Casey Rybak, Charlie Motter (two hits) and WIl McMahon also drove in one run each for the Oilers. Conner Lockhart also had two hits and scored two runs.

Motter got the win, going six innings and allowing four runs on three hits, striking out nine and walking one.

Dominic Zandi was 2-for4 with an RBI for Slippery Rock, while Sal Mineo had a hit, drew two walks and scored two runs.

                          

Austen Runtas took the loss, allowing six runs (three earned) in four innings on seven hits, striking out four and walking three.

CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS 6, UNION CITY 0, 5 innings

CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS, Pa. – Owen Riley and Matthew Ross drove in three runs each as Cambridge Springs blanked Union City, 6-0 in five innings.

Riley had three hits and Ross two, while Preston Gorton was 1-for-2 with two runs.

Riley (three innings) and Owen Simmerman (two innings) combined to allow just three hits and strike out six.

               

Daithan Kent allowed four runs (three earned) in 1 ⅓ innings for Union City.

SAEGERTOWN 10, ROCKY GROVE 0, 5 innings

SUGARCREEK BOROUGH, Pa. – Blake Leslie was 3-for-3 with a pair of RBIs to help power Saegertown to a 10-0, 5-inning win over Rocky Grove.

Wyatt Burchill allowed just one hit in five innings for the Panthers, striking out three and walking two.

Also for Saegertown, Burchill was 3-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored, while Blake Burchill was 1-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs, Luke Young 1-for-3 with two RBIs and Levi Gardner 2-for-2 with two runs.

MAPLEWOOD 11, EISENHOWER 1, 6 innings

GUYS MILLS, Pa. – Paul Hirosky and Mitchell Potosky drove in three runs each as Maplewood beat Eisenhower, 11-1 in five innings.

Kyle Jordan also had a pair of RBIs for the Tigers, while Landyn Reynolds had three hits and an RBI.

Andrew Proper went five innings for the Tigers to get the win, allowing one run on three hits, striking out six.

            

SHARON 18, FRANKLIN 1, 5 innings

FRANKLIN, Pa. – Sharon scored nine runs in the fourth inning of an 18-1, 5-inning win over Franklin.

Mark Cattron hit a solo home run for Sharon and finished the day 3-for-5 with five RBIs.

Also for Sharon, Hayden Scarmack was 1-for-3 with an RBI and two runs, Chandler Maurice 1-for-3 with three runs and an RBI, Tyler Gargasz 2-for-2 with two RBIs and two runs and Owen Schenker 1-for-3 with two RBIs.

Ethan Englemore went three innings to get the win, allowing one hit and striking out four.

Sam Wimer had an RBI for Franklin.

MERCER 8, WEST MIDDLESEX 4

MERCER, Pa. – A 3-run double by Cole Fisher in the fifth inning broke a 4-4 tie and helped Mercer to an 8-4 win over West Middlesex.

Also for the Mustangs, Ethan Christie had two hits and scored a run and Lincoln Saracco was 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored.

Jayden Amos tossed three shutout innings to get the win, allowing just one hit and one walk while striking out five.

Bowen Briggs doubled and drove in a pair of runs for West Middlesex. Kyle Gilson took the loss, allowing seven runs (six earned) on nine hits, striking out six.
