Soft: Corry Outlasts Titusville; Sharon Powers Past Titusville as Vogan Sets Home Run Mark Powered by N. Washington Rodeo

FRANKLIN, Pa. – Corry pounded out 20 hits and outlasted Franklin 17-14, scoring three runs in the eighth inning.

Payton McCray had a big day at the plate for Corry, going 4-for-6 with a double, triple, two RBIs and three runs scored.

Mackenzie Spence led Corry with four RBIs while going 3-for-5, while Allison Sawyer was 3-for-5 with three RBIs, Kendyl Chamberlin 3-for-5 with two RBIs and Kaycee Porter 2-for-4 with two RBIs.

Sadye Dyne got the win, allowing eight runs (four earned) in 5 ⅓ innings, scattering 10 hits and striking out three.

Abigail Boland (three hits) and Jillian Ewing (two hits) drove in three runs each for Franklin, while Leaha Rial was 2-for-4 with two RBIS and three runs and Rilee Hanna 3-for-6 with two RBIs.

                  

Jersey Swartz was in the circle for Franklin, allowing 10 earned runs) and striking out three.

SHARON 11, TITUSVILLE 2

TITUSVILLE, Pa. – Maddy Vogan and Lacey Root both homered, with Vogan breaking the Sharon single season home run record in an 11-2 win over Titusville.

Root finished with three RBIs, while Vogan’s was a solo blast.

Also for the Tigers, Dalani Bayer had two hits and an RBI, Mya Bundrant had two hits, Mary Claire Brown had two hits and an RBI, Claire Bodien doubled and had two RBIs and Kurtasia Chester and Chloe Pagliarini each had a single and an RBI.

                          

Vogan got the win, going four innings and allowing two hits, striking out 10 and walking two. Bodien went three innings, allowing two unearned runs on one hit, striking out four.

WILMINGTON 15, SHARPSVILLE 1, 5 innings

SHARPSVILLE, Pa. – Graeson Grubbs and Skylar Leishman had four hits and drove in three runs each as Wilmington beat Sharpsville, 15-1 in five innings.

Avery Harlan was 2-for-4 with two RBIs for the Greyhounds, while Lia Krarup was 2-for-3 with three RBIs and Karah Deal 1-for-2 with two RBIs.

Ava Williamson got the win, allowing one run in three innings on two hits, striking out four and walking three.

               

Lily Palko drove in a run for Sharpsville.
