Soft: Wilmington Sweeps Doubleheader; Reynolds Edges Erie Powered by N. Washington Rodeo

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – Wilmington swept a doubleheader from Farrell,l 16-0 and 18-2, both in three innings.

In the 16-0 win, Ava Williamson and Lia Krarup had two hits and three RBIs each, while Ellery Phanco was 2-for-2 with two RBIs and Karah Deal 2-for-2 with an RBI and two runs.

Skylar Leishman was immaculate, tossing three perfect innings, striking out nine.

In the 18-2 win for Wilmington, Avery Harlan was 4-for-4 with two RBIs and three runs scored, while Leishman had three hits and three RBIs and Phanco a hit and two RBIs.

Lesihman got the win, allowing two unearned runs on two hits, striking out eight.

                  

Mar Harrison hit a 2-run homer for Farrell.

REYNOLDS 8, ERIE 6

TRANSFER, Pa. – Kenzie Wilkinson drove in three runs as Reynolds beat Erie, 8-6.

Julie Wade was 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs for Reynolds, while Maggie Emerick drove in two runs.

Lana Wolfe allowed six runs (three earned) on three hits, striking out nine.

                          

HARBOR CREEK 11, SENECA 1, 6 innings

WATTSBURG, Pa. – Talon King drove in three runs on two hits as Harbor Creek beat Seneca, 11-1 in six innings.

Addison Lucas was 2-for-3 with two RBIs, while Brooke Przybylski was 2-for-4 with two RBIs.

King got the win, allowing one unearned run on three hits, striking out five.

IROQUOIS 14, MAPLEWOOD 8

               

GUYS MILLS, Pa. – Mila Gehrlein-Carpenter hit two home runs and finished with five RBIs as Iroquois beat Maplewood, 14-8.

Sydney Proper also homered and drove in four runs for Iroquois, driving in four runs. Phoenix Thomas and Fiona Yelkovich drove in two runs each.

Karina Reichard picked up the win, allowing five earned runs in seven innings, scattering nine hits and striking out four.

Lexus Whtiman had a big game for Maplewood, going 3-for-4 with six RBIs.

D9/10 CROSSOVER

ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 16, WARREN 0, 6 INNINGS

WARREN, Pa. – A 6-run fifth broke the game open, and Elk County Catholic tacked on eight more in the sixth to pick up a 16-0, 6-inning win at Warren.

The Crusaders held a 2-0 lead after four and scored twice early in the fifth. ECC staged a 2-out rally that added four more runs. The Crusaders batted around in the sixth and Sydney Alexander hit a 2-run home run to put an exclamation point on the inning.

            

Alexander had two hits, scored twice, and drove in four. Bailey Thorwart had three hits, including two doubles and a triple, scored three runs, and had two RBI. Lucy Klawuhn tripled and had four RBI. Emily Mourer tripled, while Mackenzie Bille, Alexa Uhl, and Reagan Bauer each had two hits.

Mourer gave up just three hits, walked one, and struck out nine.

Alana Stuart, Malysia Sorensen, and Alexis Jones each had a hit for the Dragons.

Stuart allowed two unearned runs on four hits with a walk and seven strikeouts in four innings. Alexis Stec gave up 14 runs, seven earned, on 12 hits with four walks and two strikeouts in two innings.

KANE 7, EISENHOWER 3

NORTH WARREN, Pa. – Leah Tigani used both her arm and her bat to lead visiting Kane past Eisenhower, 7-3.

Tigani gave up three runs, all earned, on three hits and four walks while striking out four in seven innings.

She also hit a home run while going 3-for-4 with two runs scored and three RBIs.

Elizabeth Yasurek was also 3-for-4 with a double for the Lady Wolves with Lexi Mulcahy going 1-for-3 with two RBIs and Kylie Iak going 2-for-4 with two runs scored.

Payton Frank was 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored for Eisenhower but also took the loss.
