Base: Ruhlman, Sotillo Pitch Brookville to Victory; Pisarcik Goes Deep in DCC Win powered by N. Washington Rodeo

BROOKVILLE, Pa. – Pierson Ruhlman and Sergio Sotillo combined to throw a three-hitter in leading Brookville to a 3-1 win over visiting Bradford.

Ruhlman got the win going five innings allowing an unearned run on two hits and two walks while striking out five.

Sotillo picked up the save going two innings allowing a hit and two walks while striking out two.

Brookville scored all its runs in the second inning on an infield single by Jack Pete, a wild pitch, and a passed ball.

                  

Evan Whitmore was 1-for-4 with a run scored for Bradford.

Anthony Lama took the loss going six innings allowing three runs, two earned, on five hits and six walks while striking out five.

DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 10, ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 4

ST. MARYS, Pa. – Blake Pisarcik hit a home run and drove in three runs to lead DuBois Central Catholic to a 10-4 win over Elk County Catholic at Berwind Park in St. Marys.

Pirarcik was 3-for-4 with three runs scored.

                          

Aiden Snowberger also went 3-for-4 with a triple, an RBI, and three runs scored for the Cardinals, while Andrew Green was 2-for-4 with a double, a run scored, and an RBI.

Also in the win, Trenton Green went 2-for-4 with two RBIs.

Brayden Fox got the win pitching 4 ⅔ innings allowing three runs, one earned, on six hits and four walks while striking out three.

Matt Gilmore went 2-for-4 with a run scored for ECC, while Frankie Smith was 1-for-3 with a walk and two runs scored.

Gilmore took the loss going three innings allowing five earned runs on seven hits while striking out two.

               

CLARION 13, NORTH CLARION 1, 5 INNINGS

FRILLS CORNERS, Pa. – Clarion picked up its third win in as many days thanks to a 13-1, five-inning victory at North Clarion.

Noah Harrison and Devon Lauer each hit home runs in the win for the Bobcats with Harrison going 2-for-2 with two runs scored and four RBIs and Lauer going 2-for-3 with two runs scored and three RBIs.

Bryce Brinkley also was 2-for-3 with a double, two runs scored, and two RBIs in the win while Dawson Smail went 2-for-4 with an RBI, and two runs scored.

Also for Clarion, Daunte Girvan was 2-for-3 with an RBI, and Derek Smail was 1-for-2 with a double and two runs scored.

Ethan Rex got the win in relief going two scoreless, hitless innings walking one and striking out five.

Tanner Miller started and pitched two hitless, scoreless innings walking two and striking out four. Girvan gave up a run on a hit and a walk while striking out two in an inning of work.

Drake Irwin was 1-for-2 with a double and an RI for North Clarion.

Hudson Irwin took the loss going three innings allowing 13 runs, 12 earned, on 11 hits, a walk, and a hit batter.

            

PUNXSUTAWNEY 14, ST. MARYS 4, 5 INNINGS

PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. – A nine-run second inning helped Punxsutawney pick up its ninth win, 14-4 in five innings over visiting St. Marys.

Maddox Hetrick, Nevin Day, and Parker Stahlman each drove in a pair of runs for the Chucks with Hetrick going 2-for-3 with two runs scored, Day walking once and scoring twice, and Stahlman also drawing a walk.

Coy Martino got the win going three innings allowing two earned runs on four hits and three walks while striking out four. Day also pitched going two innings allowing two earned runs on three hits and a walk while striking out one.

Jackson Vollmer was 2-for-3 with two RBIs for St. Marys.

Tysen Beimel took the loss going 1 ⅔ innings allowing 12 runs, three earned, on four hits, two hit batters, and four walks. He struck out one.

KARNS CITY 9, A-C VALLEY/UNION 2

RIMERSBURG, Pa. – Tyler Kelly drove in four runs to lead Karns City to a 9-2 win over A-C Valley/Union at Union High School.

Kelly was 2-for-3 in the game.

Adam Manuel added a pair of triples for the Gremlins while going 2-for-2 with two RBIs and three runs scored, while Troy Nagel was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and Jacob Callihan was 1-for-3 with a walk and two runs scored.

Joey O’Donnell also doubled, walked, and drove in two in the win.

Jacob Jones got the victory going seven innings allowing two runs, one earned, on six hits and two walks while striking out five.

Sebastian Link was 2-for-3 with an RBI for A-C Valley/Union while Chase Ruth went 1-for-2 with a double, a walk, and a run scored.

Link took the loss going six-plus innings allowing seven runs, six earned, on eight hits and four walks while striking out five.
