Wonderling Scores 27 in Brookville Girls Win; Big 3Q Leads Port Past Smethport

BROOKVILLE, Pa. – Behind a career-high 27 points from Eden Wondering lifted Brookville to a 51-35 win over visiting Bradford in D9 League action.

Kersytn Davie added 12 points for the Lady Raiders.

Kalie Dixon led Bradford with 14 points with Alana Benson adding 11.

PORT ALLEGANY 49, SMETHPORT 29

                                      

SMETHPORT, Pa. – Port Allegany outscored Smethport 18-3 in the third quarter to pull away for its ninth consecutive win, 49-29.

Evin Stauffer led a balanced effort for the Lady Gators with 13 points, six rebounds, and five assists, while Leigha Nelson had 10 points, three assists, and three steals, and Ella Moses had 10 points and eight rebounds.

Also for Port, Madison Errick had eight rebounds and Kayleigha Dowell added eight points, five rebounds, five assists, and five steals.

Elizabeth Hungiville had 11 points and 10 rebounds for Smethport, while Jaidyn Goodman added nine points and 19 rebounds.

PUNXSUTAWNEY 50, DUBOIS 19

                          

DUBOIS, Pa. – Chloe Presloid had 17 points, four assists, four rebounds, and three steals as visiting Punxsutawney rolled past DuBois, 50-19.

Olivia Burkett and Avary Powell each added eight points for the Lady Chucks with Powell also grabbing seven rebounds and Burkett hauling down five boards.

Kam Fontaine had nine points for DuBois.

 

RIMERSBURG, Pa. – Down four at halftime, Gracie Gallagher scored all 10 of her points in the second half to help rally Union to a 36-31 win over visiting A-C Valley in KSAC Small School action.

The Golden Damsels trailed 20-16 at the break but Gallagher scored five of their nine points in the third quarter to help them to a 25-22 lead after 24 minutes of play.

Hailey Theuret led Union with 11 points, and Emma Weaver added eight points.

Maddy Dehart had a career-high 18 points while recording her second straight double-double with 13 rebounds for A-C Valley. Dehart also chipped in five steals.

Mackenzie Parks added nine points for the Lady Falcons, and Keira McVay had four points, five rebounds, and four steals.

KANE 54, CAMERON COUNTY 33

                                   

EMPORIUM, Pa. – Mia Anderson had 10 points, 13 rebounds, and six blocked shots to help Kane pick up a 54-33 road win over Cameron County.

Maya Smith added 14 points for the Lady Wolves while Emma Danielson dished out six assists and scored two points. Leah Tigani also chipped in nine points, and Rylee Haight had eight points in the win.

Aubree Lornezno had 10 points for Cameron County with Ava Hilfiger adding five points, seven rebounds, two steals, and two blocks.

MOUNT UNION 63, CURWENSVILLE 36

CURWENSVILLE, Pa. – Mount Union outscored Curwensville 27-7 in the third quarter to pull away for a 63-36 win.

Chelsea Williams knocked down four 3’s for Mount Union and finished with 14 points, while Caily Skopic also had 14 points and Sophie Smith 12.

Addison Butler led Curwensville with 13 points, while Karleigh Freyer and Brooklynn Price added eight apiece.
