DUBOIS, Pa. – D9and10Sports.com will be doing a video broadcast Wednesday of the Clarion vs. Clarion-Limestone District 9 Class 1A true-second place game from Heindl Field in DuBois.
Game time is Noon with an airtime of approximately 11:50 a.m.
The winner will move into the PIAA playoffs and face the WPIAL champion Monday, June 7. The loser’s season will end.
This is the rubber match between Clarion and C-L with each team winning on the other’s home field back in April.
C-L lost in the District 9 championship game to DuBois Central Catholic, 12-2, in five innings, while Clarion beat Elk County Catholic, 13-1, in five innings, in the consolation game. Because Clarion and C-L did not meet in the semifinals, Wednesday’s game is believed to be the fairest way to determine the second-place team in District 9.
