DUBOIS, Pa. – Two teams jockying for position in the AML playoffs meet in a key AML South girls’ basketball matchup Friday night in DuBois as Ridgway takes on DuBois Central Catholic.
DCC (9-5 overall, 2-2 AML South) currently holds the second and final AML South playoff spot for the AML playoffs with Ridgway a game back. The teams have a second game coming up Feb. 3 in Ridgway as well.
Ridgway is paced by Jenna Kasmierski’s 18.2 ppg while DCC’s leading scorer Kayley Risser (11.3 ppg) could be limited due an ankle injury. That could put more pressure on the guard trio of Marina Hanes (8.2 ppg), Emma Elensky (6.5 ppg), and Lexi Berta (6.3 ppg) to lead the way.
The Lady Elkers also get scoring from Kristen Ellenberger (10.3 ppg) and Gabby Amacher (9.4 ppg).
