Kasmierski Rallies Ridgway Past Coudy Girls; DCC Rolls West Shamokin

ST. MARYS, Pa. – A 16-4 fourth-quarter run helped Ridgway pull away from Coudersport, 45-34, at St. Marys High School.

The Lady Elkers trailed by one, 30-29, going to the fourth quarter but turned to Jenna Kasmierski for the comeback.

Kasmierksi scored nine of her game-high 21 points in the fourth quarter. She completed a double-double with 13 rebounds and also blocked four shots.

Gabby Amacher added 13 points, six rebounds, and four assists with Kristen Ellenberger adding seven points. Emma Vargas added six assists with four points.

                                      

Olivia Fink led Coudersport with nine points, Bel Porterfield added eight points, and Hallie Rigas seven.

Sierra Myers had a team-best seven rebounds for the Lady Falcons and also scored four points, while Emma Chambers added four assists, four steals, and four points.
DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 60, WEST SHAMOKIN 28

DUBOIS, Pa. – Playing perhaps its most complete game of the season, DuBois Central Catholic rolled past visiting West Shamokin, 60-28.

The Lady Cardinals built leads of 19-7 at the end of the first quarter and 40-17 at halftime against a team that took Moniteau to overtime before losing Feb. 4 and lost to Karns City by three Feb. 7.

Kayley Risser and Lexi Berta helped DCC get off to a quick start with Risser scouring six first-quarter points and Berta five.

                          

The duo continued to pour in the points in the second quarter with Risser adding nine more and Berta scoring 10.

Risser led DCC with a game-high 21 points despite not playing the final 12 minutes of the game because of the score, while Berta added 15 points while also not playing in the final 12 minutes.

Lily Jordan had 12 points for West Shamokin.

BROCKWAY 56, CURWENSVILLE 49

BROCKWAY, Pa. – Madelyn Schmader wrapped up her Brockway career with a 16-point, 14-rebound double-double to help the Lady Rovers to a 56-49 win over visiting Curwensville.

Schmader also added five assists and four blocked shots.

Kalina Powell added 13 points with Mallory Smith scoring a career-best 10 points for Brockway who also got nine rebounds from Raegan Gelnette.

Addison Butler had a career-high 16 points for Curwensville, as she closed out the season with back-to-back double-digit games.

Kareligh Fryer added 12 points for the Lady Tide.

BUTLER 54, KARNS CITY 35

                                   

BUTLER, Pa. – Justine Forbes knocked down six 3-pointers on her way to a game-high 27 points in Butler’s 54-35 win over visiting Karns City.

Hannah Aldridge added 13 points for the Tornadoes.

Emma Dailey paced Karns City with 13 points with Chloe Fritch adding 11 points.
