Base: Krahe Tosses Gem for Mercyhurst; Zdarko Pitches, Hits Warren to Win; Meadville Walks Off Powered by N. Washington Rodeo

FAIRVIEW, Pa. – Hunter Krahe fired a 5-hit shutout as Mercyhurst Prep beat Fairview, 6-0.

Krahe struck out eight and walked three.

Noah Regel’s 2-run home run in the first inning got the Lakers going. Regel finished 3-for-4 with three RBIs, while Brady Coleman was 1-for-4 with three RBIs.

Tyler Benford took the loss for Fairview, allowing two runs in three innings on one hit, striking out one and allowing two walks.

WARREN 4, CORRY 2

   

                  

COLUMBUS, Pa. – Aidan Zdarko was strong on the mound and at the plate for Warren in a 4-2 win over Corry.

Zdarko belted a 2-run home run in a 3-run third inning for the Dragons, and also went 6 ⅔ strong innings, allowing just four hits and two runs (one earned), striking out seven and walking two.

Brady Berdine hit an RBI double right in front of Zdarko’s home run in the third. Berdine had two hits for the Dragons, while Hoffman singled and scored a run.

Karson Chamberlin and Levi Ehrhart had one RBI each for Corry.

Chamberlin took the loss. He pitched a complete game, allowing four unearned runs on five hits, striking out nine and walking one.

                          

YOUNGSVILLE 11, ROCKY GROVE 5

SUGARCREEK BOROUGH, Pa. – With the game tied 5-5 after three innings, Youngsville scored four runs in the fourth and two in the fifth in an 11-5 win over Rocky Grove.

Matt DeSimone put the finishing touches on the offensive outburst with a 2-run homer in the fifth inning for the Eagles.

DeSimone finished with three RBIs, while James Johnson was 1-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs, Nate Lucks 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs and Braydon Baker was 1-for-4 with an RBI.

               

Wyatt Dalrymple tossed three scoreless innings of relief to get the win, allowing two hits, striking out three and walking three.

Landon Jones had three hits for Rocky Grove, while Aaron Wetjen drove in a pair of runs and Trenton Rice had two hits and scored two runs.

Jones allowed nine runs (seven earned) in 3 ⅓ innings.

MEADVILLE 3, FORT LEBOEUF 2

MEADVILLE, Pa. – Aidan Kleist delivered a walk-off RBI single in the seventh inning to send Meadville to a 3-2 win over Fort LeBoeuf.

Fort LeBoeuf scored two runs in the first inning and Meadville tied the game with two runs in the third.

Rocco Tartaglione had an RBI single and Brayden Miller drew a bases-loaded walk.

AJ Feleppa pitched five scoreless innings of relief to get the win. He allowed just two hits and struck out eight without issuing a walk.

Jacob Bruzda and Caleb Sayers had one RBI each for the Bison.

Matt Herr took the loss, allowing one run on seven hits in three innings, striking out three and walking four.

            

OIL CITY 16, HICKORY 12

HERMITAGE, Pa. – Jake Dunkle drove in five runs as Oil City beat Hickory 16-12.

Oil City collected 13 hits and Hickory seven. Oil City trailed 10-9, but scored four runs in the sixth and three in the seventh.

Jacob Teeter was 2-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs for the Oilers, while Casey Rybak was 1-for-3 with an RBI and three runs, Charlie Motter 3-for-4 with an RBI and three runs, and Wil McMahon 1-for-3 with an RBI and two runs.

Motter got the win, going five innings and allowing six runs on five hits, striking out five and walking three.

Dom Uberti was 1-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs for Hickory, while Tanner Turosky was 1-for-2 with an RBI and two runs. Hickory batters drew a total of nine walks.

GIRARD 5, SENECA 3

GIRARD, Pa. – Tyler Gilmore pitched six strong innings to lead Girard to a 5-3 win over Seneca.

Gilmore went six innings and allowed one run on four hits, striking out six and walking three.

Four different Yellow Jackets – Zach Kelley, Zak Balogh, Sam Schepers and Mason Kalicky had one RBI each.

Sean Demauri was 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs for Seneca.

Lucas Rupp took the loss allowing four runs in 3 ⅓ innings, striking out four, allowing four hits and walking four.

TITUSVILLE 15, FRANKLIN 2, 5 innings

FRANKLIN, Pa. – Mason Titus was 2-for-3 with three RBIs and three runs as Titusville.

Titusville scored at least two runs in every inning. Jaxon Covell was 1-for-2 with two RBIs and three runs, while Ian McDonald was 1-for-3 with two runs and Nate Stearns 3-for-4 with an RBI.

Titus got the win, allowing two runs on three hits in 3 ⅔ innings, striking out two and walking three.

Alex Wible and Nate Fezell had one RBI each for Franklin.

Zac Boland took the loss, allowing six runs (five earned) in two innings on four hits, striking out three.

LAKEVIEW 5, MERCER 0

STONEBORO, Pa. – Lucas Fagley and Maddox Bell combined on a 1-hitter as Lakeview blanked Mercer, 5-0.

Fagley went four innings, allowing one hit, striking out five and walking one. Bell went three innings without giving up a hit, striking out six and walking one.

Fagley also hit a solo home run in the first inning and finished with three hits and two RBIs, while Cody Fagley and Jonny Husband each drove in a run.

Ethan Christie tossed a complete game for Mercer, allowing five runs on eight hits, striking out five and walking four.

GROVE CITY 10, CONNEAUT 3

LINESVILLE, Pa. – Ben Fischer was 3-for-4 with three RBIs as Grove City beat Conneaut, 10-3.

Grove City scored eight runs in the first three innings, including five in the third. Ethan Orr was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI for the Eagles, while Ethan Adams was 2-for-3 with an RBI and Will Schell 1-for-3 with an RBI and three runs.

Orr got the win, allowing three runs (one earned) in two innings on one hit.

Gavin White drove in a pair of runs for CASH.

Wyatt Kornman took the loss, allowing eight runs (three earned) in three innings on eight hits, striking out three.

WEST MIDDLESEX 5, REYNOLDS 2

WEST MIDDLESEX, Pa. – Kyle Gilson struck out 14 batters in a complete game 4-hitter as West Middlesex beat Reynolds, 5-2.

Gilson’s two runs were unearned, and he didn’t walk a batter.

Gilson was also 3-for-4 with an RBI, while Tyler Blanton, Logan Kent and Bowen Briggs had one RBI each.

Peyton Ryhal went 5 ⅓ innings for Reynolds, allowing five runs (four earned) on five hits, striking out seven and walking seven.

COCHRANTON 9, CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS 1

CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS, Pa. – Isaiah Long was dominant for six innings on the mound as Cochranton beat Cambridge Springs, 9-1.

Long allowed just one hit in his six innings of work, striking out seven and walking two.

Cochranton broke the game open with a 5-run third inning. Brayden Burnette was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs, while Ben Field was 2-for-4 with two RBIsl, Long 2-for-5 with an RBI and Walker Carroll 1-for-3 with a double and three runs.

Owen Riley took the loss for Cambridge Springs, allowing six runs (one earned) in three innings on seven hits, striking out two and walking one.
