Base: Carroll Helps Cochranton to win; Youngsville’s Lucks, GM’s Cannon Twirl Gems Powered by N. Washington Rodeo

COCHRANTON, Pa. – Walker Carroll fired a complete game 3-hitter as Cochranton edged Saegertown, 3-2.

The game was tied 2-2 in the sixth when an error allowed the go-ahead run to come home for the Cardinals.

Carroll struck out eight and walked six for the Cardinals.

Isaiah Long had two of Cochranton’s three hits.

Luke Young was 1-for-3 with an RBI for Saegertown. Blake Burchill took the loss in relief, allowing one unearned run in 1 ⅓ innings on one hit with one strikeout. William Shaffer went 4 ⅔ innings and allowed two unearned runs on two hits, striking out six and walking one.

                  

YOUNGSVILLE 5, UNION CITY 0

YOUNGSVILLE, Pa. – Nate Lucks fired a complete game 4-hitter as Youngsville blanked Union City, 5-0.

Lucks struck out nine and walked one.

Matt DeSimone drove in a pair of runs for Youngsville, while James Johnson was 1-for-4 with an RBI and Braydon Baker had two hits and scored a run. Talon Mesel was also 1-for-3 with an RBI and a run.

Daithan Kent took the loss for Union City, allowing three unearned runs in 1 ⅓ innings, striking out two and walking one.

                          

GENERAL MCLANE 2, WARREN 0

WARREN, Pa. – Jordan Cannon fired a 4-hit shutout to lead General McLane to a 2-0 win over Warren.

Cannon struck out six and walked two.

GM scored a run in the first inning on a passed ball and in the second inning on an Owen Eisert RBI groundout.

Brady Berdine took the loss for Warren, going five innings and allowing two runs (one earned) on two hits, striking out two and walking five.

               

ROCKY GROVE 5, EISENHOWER 4

RUSSELL, Pa. – Rocky Grove took a 5-3 lead on a wild pitch in the fifth inning and held on for a 5-4 win over Eisenhower.

Eisenhower got within one, 5-4, after a Griffin Williams RBI in the bottom of the fifth, but was unable to scratch the tying run across.

Trenton Rice drove in a pair of runs for Rocky Grove.

Eli Wilson got the win, allowing one run in five innings on four hits, striking out three and walking one.

Mason Degnan was 2-for-3 with an RBI for Eisenhower, while Ayden Stiteler was 3-for-4 with a run.

Camron Jakubczak took the loss, allowing four runs in three innings. Kaleb Jakubczak allowed one run in four innings of relief on one hit, striking out six and walking three.

MERCYHURST PREP 13, GIRARD 1, 5 innings

GIRARD, Pa. – Mercyhurst Prep scored 10 run in the second inning in a 13-1, 5-inning win over Girard.

            

Noah Reigel’s 3-run home keyed the second inning for the Lakers. Reigel finished with four RBIs, while Alex Manendo was 1-for-4 with three RBIs and Josh Majczyk 1-for-1 with two RBIs.

Noah Trojanowski got the win, allowing one unearned run on two hits in five innings, striking out nine.

Mason Kallicky had both hits for Girard, both doubles.

Carson Stevens took the loss, allowing 10 runs (nine earned) in his one inning of work.

LAKEVIEW 16, REYNOLDS 4, 5 innings

TRANSFER, Pa. – Maddox Bell and Jonny Husband each homered as Lakeview beat Reynolds, 16-4 in five innings.

Husband hit a grand slam in the first inning and finished with five RBIs, while Bell hit a 2-run shot and finished with four RBIs.

Owen Dye was 2-for-3 with a triple and five RBIs for the Sailors, while Lucas Fagley was 3-for-4 with three runs.

Chris Mong got the win, allowing two unearned runs in four innings on three hits, striking out six.

Peyton Ryhal drove in a pair of runs for Reynolds.

Ryan Shardy took the loss, allowing 11 runs in 4 ⅓ innings on nine hits, striking out two and walking three.

NORTHWESTERN 5, SENECA 3

WATTSBURG, Pa. – Joe Schaukowitsch’s RBI double broke a 3-3 tie in the top of the seventh and Nick Timm added a sacrifice fly as Northwestern beat Seneca 5-3.

Kaden Stout also had an RBI for Northwestern, while David White had a pair of doubles.

Garrett Eddy got the win, allowing three runs (two earned) in six innings on seven hits, striking out seven without issuing a walk. Stout tossed a perfect seventh to pick up the save.

Michael Gilmore, Kendall Yosten and Greg Rupp each drove in a run for Seneca.

Klayton Komisarski took the loss, allowing three runs in two innings.

OIL CITY 5, TITUSVILLE 3

TITUSVILLE, Pa. – Oil City scored five runs over the first three innings and made that hold up in a 5-3 win over Titusville.

Conner Lockhart hit a solo home run for the Oilers, while Wil McMahon was 1-for-3 with two RBIs, Charlie Motter 1-for-4 with an RBI and Jake Dunkle 2-for-4 with a double and two runs.

McMahon got the win, allowing three runs (two earned) in five innings on five hits, striking out eight and walking two. Jacob Teeter struck out three over two shutout innings to get the save.

Mason Titus was 2-for-4 with an RBI for Titusville, while Jaxon Covell also had two hits.

Covell took the loss, allowing five runs (four earneD) in 3 ⅓ innings, striking out five and walking three.
