Soft: Thomas, Moore Homer in Prep Win; Vogan Dazzles Again as Sharon Sets Single-Season Program Win Mark Powered by N. Washington Rodeo

WEST SUNBURY, Pa. – Cathedral Prep broke a 3-3 tie with three runs in the fourth inning on its way to an 8-3 win over Moniteau.

Emalie Thomas and Mackenzie Moore both hit solo home runs for the Ramblers. Madison Simmerman was 3-for-3 with a double and three RBIs.

Morgan Madura got the win, allowing three runs (one earned) in five innings, striking out two and walking nine.

Addy Williams was 0-for-2 with an RBI for Moniteau, while Lily Staab was 1-for-4 and scored a run.

Lexi McGhee took the loss, allowing six runs (two earned) in four innings on five hits, striking out two and walking one.

                  

SHARON 8, FRANKLIN 0

SHARON, Pa. – Sharon captured its 17th win of the season, a single-season program record, in an 8-0 win over Franklin.

Maddy Vogan did it again both in the circle and at the plate. She fired a shutout, striking out 16, allowing just three hits and walking one. At the plate, she had three singles and an RBI.

Mary Claire Brown hit a solo home run for Sharon and finished with two RBIs, while Dalani Bayer had two singles and two RBIs, Kurtasia Chester a double and Claire Bodien, Lacey Root, Chloe Pagliarini and Mya Bundrant one hit apiece.

Jersey Swartz took the loss, allowing eight earned runs in six innings on 11 hits, striking out seven and walking two.

                          

FORT LEBOEUF 12, SENECA 1, 5 innings

WATERFORD, Pa. – Ibree Rodgers and Londyn Davis both homered as Fort LeBoeuf beat Seneca, 12-1 in five innings.

Rodgers had two hits and four RBIs, while Davis and Ava Campbell each drove in a pair.

Kiernan Skelton got the win, allowing one unearned run on three hits in five innings, striking out five.

Alara Bem was 1-for-3 with an RBI for Seneca. Bem took the loss, allowing 12 runs (seven earned) on 10 hits and two walks.

               

JAMESTOWN 8, OIL CITY 1

JAMESTOWN, Pa. – Grace Wingard was 3-for-3 with four RBIs as Jamestown beat Oil City, 8-1.

Miranda Biles was 1-for-2 with an RBI for Jamestown, while Gianna Solderich scored three runs.

Biles fired a 4-hitter, recording 16 of her 21 outs via strikeout and walking just one.

NORTH EAST 14, GENERAL MCLANE 8

NORTH EAST, Pa. – Sydney Whittman was 2-for-4 with three RBIs as North East powered past General McLane, 14-8.

Lynzey Reinsel, Kyla Conn and Kaylee Skelly drove in two runs each for the Grape Pickers.

Wittman got the win, scattering seven hits and allowing two runs, striking out nine and walking two.
