Warren Edges Prep in Region 6 Mega Match; Lakeview Puts Four Golfers in 70s Powered by Hunter’s Station Golf Club

WEST MIDDLESEX, Pa. – Warren’s Braddock Damore shot a 69 to earn medalist honors as the Dragons (322) edged Cathedral Prep (323) by one stroke at Wednesday’s Region 6 mega match at Oak Tree Country Club.

Shooting in the 70s were Prep’s Connor Laird with a 71, McDowell’s Bryce Peterson with a 74, and Prep’s Cooper Wierzchowski with a 76.

Also for Warren, Reid Olsen and Johnny Palmieri each shot 84s, while Brady Berdine shot an 85.

Meadville finished with a team score of 329, as did McDowell, while Hickory had 343, Erie 368, and Corry with a 404.

DUBOIS TOPS DCC

            

DUBOIS, Pa. – Tyson Kennis shot a 40 to lead DuBois to a 177-184 win over DuBois Central Catholic.

Also for DuBois, Brock Smith shot a 42, Madix Clark a 46 and Mason Dinkfelt a 49.

For DCC, Trenton Miller shot a 43, Tristan Sedor a 45, Jack Roy a 47 and Aiden Snowberger a 49.

LAKEVIEW WINS REGION 1 MATCH

GREENVILLE, Pa. – Lakeview had four golfers shoot under 80 to win Wednesday’s Region 1 mega match.

                          

Jackson Gadsby and Chris Mong each shot 75, while Adam Snyder and Maddox Bell each shot 79s for a team total of 308, 11 strokes better than Greenville (319).

Brandon Stubert shot a 75 for Greenville, while Jacob Csonka shot an 80 and Mason Vannoy an 81.

Jamestown finished third with a team score of 340, with Cole Ternent shooting a 76.

NORTH CLARION BOYS EDGE C-L, FOREST AREA

TIONESTA, Pa. – Playing the back nine at Hunter’s Station, North Clarion’s Mason Shaftic earned medalist honors with a 38 as the Wolves had a team score of 218 to top Clarion-Limestone (234) and Forest Area (238).

Also for North Clarion, Ethan Carll and Jack Buckley shot 43s, Conner Sliker a 44 and Landon Lutz a 50.

For Clarion-Limestone, Nick Aaron shot a 42 , John Kessler a 43, Jack Monneyer a 47, and Jack Callen and Aidan Coulson 51s.

For Forest Area, Zach Carll shot a 43, Keyon Custer and Ezra Busch 48s, Colton Kuntz a 49 and Jonah Glass a 50.

GIRLS

MONITEAU WINS KSAC MATCH

                        

KOSSUTH, Pa. – Mariska Shunk shot a 39 to lead Moniteau (131) to victory in Tuesday’s KSAC girls’ golf match at Hi-Level.

Also for Moniteau, Kendall Sankey shot a 44 and Samantha Smith a 48.

Mointeau had a team score of 131, followed by A-C Valley (162). Reagan Best shot a 48 for A-C Valley, while Lily Nicewonger shot a 56 for Keystone.
