DUBOIS, Pa. – Molly Hanslovan scored 16 points as No. 2 St .Marys earned a 56-36 win over No. 3 Clearfield in the District 9 Class 3A girls semifinals.

St. Marys, led by nine points on three 3-pointers from Alexa Schneider, built a 26-13 halftime lead on its way to the win.
St. Marys led 10-5 after the first quarter and 26-13 at halftime.
Hanslovan was one of three St. Marys in double figures, as Schneider and Taylor Gornati and Schneider tallied 11 points each.
Also for the Lady Dutch (20-5), Jayssa Snelick and Maura Caskey added nine points apiece.
Sonny Diehl led Clearfield (14-9) with a game-high 20 points, while Mia Helsel added 11.
With the win, St. Marys advances to take on top seed Punxsutawney, which received a bye, in the championship game on Saturday, March 2 at PennWest Clarion’s Tippin Gym. The two teams played twice in the regular season, each winning on their home floor.
