Sept. 24, 2020 Golf Recaps: Clarion Wins KSAC Crown

BUTLER, Pa. – With a second-place finish at the 9th and final KSAC Mega Match at Aubrey’s Golf Course, Clarion clinched the KSAC title.

The Bobcats (234) finished second to Moniteau (227) in the match.

Clarion-Limestone’s Hayden Siegel and Moniteau’s Jacob Felsing tied for medalist honors at 39.

HENRY, PREP WIN REGION 6 MATCH

ERIE, Pa. – Cathedral Prep’s Zach Henry fired a 69 to lead the Ramblers to a first-place team finish at a Region 6 Mega Match at Beechwood Golf Course.

Prep outdistanced second-place McDowell, 303-325.

The Trojans’ Michael Mahoney was second with a 72, followed by Prep’s Breckin Taylor (75) and McDowell’s Joey DeAngelo (76).

SLIPPERY ROCK WINS REGION 2 MATCH

PULASKI, Pa. – Slippery Rock’s Jacob Wolak shot a 72 to earn medalist honors, leading the Rockets to a team victory in the process.

The Rockets edged second-place Grove City (327) and third-place Hickory (337).

Hickory’s Cam Colbert shot a 75 and Grove City’s Sam Norris and Toby Matson each shot 77.

CORRY ROLLS IN REGION 4 MATCH

RENO, Pa. – Corry’s Max Rimdzius shot a 77 to lead the Beavers to victory in a Region 4 Mega Match.

The Beavers (336) beat second-place Franklin by 40 strokes.

Tyler Hasbrouck shot an 84 for Corry.
