Schneider Nearly Has Triple-Double to Power Pitt-Bradford Men to AMCC Playoff Win; Harden Leads Thiel to PAC Quarterfinal Victory

AMCC QUARTERFINALS

NO. 6 PITT-BRADFORD 80, NO. 3 HILBERT 79
• St. Marys grad Nate Schneider had a monster game to lead Pitt-Bradford to an 80-79 win over Hilbert. Schneider nearly missed a triple-double, scoring 38 points to go along with 15 rebounds and nine assists. He scored the Panthers’ final eight points, including a three-point play to give them a lead they wouldn’t relinquish. DuBois grad Lennon Lindholm and Jeremy Rodriguez had eight points each.
• Quran Briggs had 33 points for Hilbert.

NO. 5 PENN STATE BEHREND 76, NO. 4 PITT-GREENSBURG 63
• Tommy DiRienzo poured in 35 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead Behrend, while Mason Blankenberg had 14 points and Fairview grad Matt Niland 10.
• JoJo France had 18 points and Reggie Priah 16 for Pitt-Greensburg.

                                      

PAC QUARTERFINALS

NO. 6 THIEL 99, NO. 3 GENEVA 84
• Kennedy Catholic grad Elijah Harden scored 26 points on 10-of-16 shooting to lift Thiel to the upset win. Marlon Ellerbee had 21 points and 12 boards and Beni Lavodrama had 21 points and nine rebounds.
• Lyle Tipton had a monster game in the loss for Geneva with 46 points and six rebounds.

NO. 4 CHATHAM 85, NO. 5 WESTMINSTER 76
• Grove City grad Marcos Cintron had 21 points to lead Chatham, while Simon Boyer had 16 points and Blaine Gartley (11 points, 10 boards) and Sharpsville grad James Thomas (10 points, 11 boards) both had double-doubles.
• Reese Leone, Austin O’Hara, and Justin Bofenkamp had 14 points each for Chatham.

NO. 2 ALLEGHENY 79, NO. 7 SAINT VINCENT 74
• Andre Wilder led four Allegheny players in double figures with 19 points, while Caden Hinckley had 11 points and 10 boards.
• Shemar Bennett had 23 points and Mike Iuzzolino 20 for Saint Vincent.

NO. 1 WASHINGTON & JEFFERSON 85, NO. 8 GROVE CITY 68
• Matt Seidl had 25 points and Kyran Mitchell 22 to power top-seed W&J.
• Greenville grad Ben Cano had 16 points and 10 boards for Grove City.

• Melina Maietta and Sidney McCully scored 19 points each for Pitt-Greensburg.
• China Jenkins had 20 points for Mt. Aloysius.

NO. 5 HILBERT 54, NO. 4 PENN STATE ALTOONA 40
• Mackenzie Catan had 21 points and seven boards to power Hilbert.
• Jordan Bisignani had 19 points for Altoona.
