Soft: Mourer Walk-off HR Lifts ECC Past Cranberry; Brooville Edges Keystone; Mesler Tosses 5-Inning No-No for Oswayo Valley powered by N. Washington Rodeo.

ST. MARYS, Pa. – Emily Mourer hit a one-out, walk-off home run to give Elk County Catholic a 5-4 win over Cranberry.

The Lady Crusaders trailed 4-3 going to the bottom of the sixth before tying the game on a two-out Lucy Klawuhn double.

Klawuhn also hit a home run and was 2-for-2 with two walks, a run scored, and two RBIs, while Mourer was 1-for-3 with a run scored and two RBIs.

Mourer got the win going seven innings allowing four runs, one earned, on five hits while striking out four.

                  

Keelie Schneider hit a home run for Cranberry and was 1-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI while Cassie Scarbrough was 2-for-3 and Rylee Coe was 2-for-3 with a double, a run scored, and an RBI.

Coe took the loss going two innings allowing two runs, one earned, on one hit. She struck out three.

Reyna Watson went 4 ⅓ innings allowing three runs, two earned, on three hits and five walks while striking out four.
BROOKVILLE 4, KEYSTONE 3

BROOKVILLE, Pa. – Kerstyn Davie went 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs to lead Brookville to a 4-3 win over visiting Keystone.

Alyssa Tollini got the win going seven innings allowing three runs, two earned, on five hits and two walks while striking out 13.

                          

Emma Gruber was 1-for-4 with a triple and two runs scored for Keystone, while Bella Brandon went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk, a run scored, and an RBI.

Brandon took the loss going six innings allowing four runs, three earned, on four hits and four walks while striking out 10.

OSWAYO VALLEY 10, PORT ALLEGANY 0, 5 INNINGS

SHINGLEHOUSE, Pa. – Shayden Mesler tossed a five-inning no-hitter to lead Oswayo Valley to a 10-0, five-inning win over visiting Port Allegany.

Messler was a hit batter away from a perfect game. She struck out 10.

               

Sophia Komenda led the Green Wave offense going 2-for-2 with two RBIs and a run scored, while Grace Rositzke was 2-for-2 with a walk, an RBI, and two runs scored. Messler helped herself by going 1-for-2 with a walk and a run scored.

Alyssa Tanner took the loss allowing nine earned runs on nine hits, five walks, and a hit batter in three innings of work. She struck out four.

KARNS CITY 15, MONITEAU 9

WEST SUNBURY, Pa. – Haley Sherman hit a three-run home run and drove in five runs to pace Karns City to a 15-9 win at Moniteau.

Sherman was 2-for-4 with a walk and a run scored.

Madison Gibson added a pair of RBIs for the Lady Gremlins going 1-for-1 with a walk, while Bailee O’Donnell was 1-for-2 with a run scored and an RBI.

Also for Karns City, Lyrik Reed went 2-for-5 with a run scored, Addison Burrows was 2-for-4 with a walk, an RBI, and three runs scored, Jada Polczynski was 2-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI, Aubrey Taylor was 1-for-4 with a walk and three runs scored, and Nicole Taylor was 1-for-4 with a walk, an RBI, and two runs scored.

Addison Burrows got the win in relief allowing an unearned run on one hit and a walk in 3 ⅔ innings.

Addy Williams tripled and drove in three runs for Moniteau. She was 1-for-4 with a walk and a run scored.

            

Emily Staab added a pair of RBIs, while Alex Stewart went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.

Mariska Shunk also had a triple for the Lady Warriors and was 1-for-2 with three walks and three runs scored, while Ashley Huffman went 2-for-4 with a walk and two runs scored.

Graysen Rottman took the loss going 1 ⅔ innings allowing 10 runs, six earned, on eight hits and three walks.

BRADFORD 10, BROCKWAY 0, 5 INNINGS

BRADFORD, Pa. – Kalie Dixon let her bat and arm do the talking in leading Bradford to a 10-0, five-inning win over visiting Brockway.

Dixon was 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, two runs scored, and four RBIs while also throwing a two-hit shutout. She hit a batter and walked a batter while striking out 10.

Daisy Greene added a three-hit day for the Lady Owls going 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored, Alyssa Johnson was 1-for-3 with a run scored, and two RBIs, Kendyl Cruz was 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored, Sophie Cornelius was 2-for-4 with a run scored, and Mallory Craig was 2-for-3 with a walk, a run scored, and an RBI.

Bailee Cranberry took the loss going 4 ⅔ innings allowing 10 runs, three earned, on 14 hits and three walks while striking out five.

CLEARFIELD 13, BELLWOOD-ANTIS 3, 5 INNINGS

HYDE, Pa. – Sam Campolong, Ruby Singleton, and Aevril Hayward each hit home runs in Clearfield’s 13-3, five-inning win over visiting Bellwood-Antis.

Campolong set the tone for the game hitting a first-inning grand slam. That erased a 3-0 Bellwood-Antis lead. She was 1-for-3 with a walk, two runs scored, and five RBIs.

Singleton added a 3-for-4 day with an RBI and two runs scored, and Hayward was 2-for-3 with two RIs and three runs scored.

Raigan Uncles came off the bench and went 1-for-2 with a double and two RBIs fo the Lady Bison.

Joelle Henry got the win going five innings allowing three earned runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out four. She gave up just five hits and no runs over her final four frames.

NORTHERN POTTER 10, JOHNSONBUG 0, FIVE INNINGS

ULYSSES, Pa. – Jaylyn Williammee tossed a two-hit shutout, and Taylor Knowles had four RBIs, as Northern Potter picked up a 10-0, five-inning home win over Johnsonburg.

Williammee didn’t walk a batter and struck out 12 while needing just 62 pitches for her complete game.

Knowles had a pair of doubles while going 2-for-3 with two runs scored.

Williammee helped herself by going 1-for-3 with a double, a run scored, and two RBIs, Emma Haynes was 3-for-4 with a run scored, and Haylee Chapman was 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Natalie Dunworth and Shelby Sorg had hits for Johnsonburg.

Dunworth took the loss going 4 ⅔ innings allowing 10 runs, none of them earned, on 10 hits and a walk. She struck out three but was hurt by seven Ramette errors.

DUBOIS 15, CENTRAL CLARION 2, 5 INNINGS

DUBOIS, Pa. – Ava Baronick hit another home run and drove in three runs to lead DuBois to a 15-2, five-inning win over visiting Central Clarion at Highland Field in DuBois.

Baronick was 1-for-2 with a walk and a run scored.

Jordan McGrano also had three RBIs going 1-for-2 for the Lady Beavers while Haley Reed was 2-for-3 with a triple, a walk, an RBI, and three runs scored.

Baronick got the win going four innings allowing two runs, one earned, on five hits and a walk while striking out six.

Jesalyn Girt and Alicyn Burford were both 1-for-2 with an RBI for Central Clarion with Jenna Dunn going 1-for-2 with a double and a run scored.

Kaylee Smith took the loss going 1 ⅔ innings allowing 10 runs, seven earned, on eight hits, six walks, and a hit batter. She struck out one.

OTTO-ELDRED 11, SMETHPORT 1, 5 INNINGS

SMETHPORT, Pa. – Kate Rhinehart threw a two-hitter to lead Otto-Eldred to an 11-1, five-inning win at Smethport.

Rhinehart gave up an unearned run. She struck out seven.

Kyla Andreano hit a home run and a double to lead the Lady Terrors’ offense while going 3-for-3 with a walk, two runs scored, and two RBIs.

Rayel Hakes drove in three runs in the win while going 2-for-3 with a run scored, and Carrier Drummond was 1-for-3 with a run scored and two RBIs.

Tylar Colley had an RBI for Smethport but took the loss in the circle. She went five innings allowing 11 runs, six earned, on nine nine hits and four walks while striking out two.

COUDERSPORT 29, GALETON 18

GALETON, Pa. – Behind seven RBIs from Sierra Myers, Coudersport went on the road an beat Galeton, 29-18.

Myers had five RBIs in a 14-run fifth-inning for the Lady Falcons with a three-run double and a two-run triple.

She went 5-for-6 with three triples, a double, and five runs scored.

Claire Daisley added five RBIs for Coudersport going 3-for-5 with a walk and a run scored, while Laura Dunn doubled and homered while going 4-for-5 with a walk, two RBIs, and three runs scored.

Lily Clinger added a pair of doubles and was 2-for-5 with a walk, two RBIs, and three runs scored, Madyson Dubots-Angood was 2-for-4 with three walks, three RBIs, and five runs scored, Hannah Fleniken was 2-for-4 with a double, two walks, an RBI, and three runs scored, Alissa Dunn was 3-for-5 with a walk and two runs scored, Marah Fowler was 1-for-5 with two walks, two RBIs, and two runs scored, and Ciarra Davis walked twice and scored three times.

Galeton had just four hits but took advantage of 24 walks and six hit batters to score its 18 runs.

Brielle Lehman was 2-for-3 with three walks, two RBIs, and three runs scored, while Makenna Schott walked four times, drove in two runs, scored scored twice.

Eve Cole, Tehya O’Donnell, and Audrianna Calderon each added a pair of RBIs for the Tigers.

Fleniken got the win going seven innings allowing 18 runs, 14 earned, on four hits, 24 walks, and six hit batters. She struck out 13.

Schott took the loss going three innings allowing 22 runs, 20 earned, on 17 hits, seven walks, and a hit batter. She struck out four.

Galeton led 16-7 going to the fifth before Coudersport put together the 14-run innings. The Lady Falcons then added five more in the sixth to go ahead 26-16 before Galeton scored twice in the bottom of the inning to avoid the Mercy Rule. Three more Lady Falcon runs in the seventh set the final score.

KANE 16, YOUNGSVILLE 10

KANE, Pa. – Leah Tigani went 2-for-4 with a home run, a triple, four runs scored, and three RBIs to lead Kane to a 16-10 win over visiting Youngsville.

Maya Smith also scored four runs for the Lady Wolves while going 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, while Olivia Bell hit a home run and was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and four RBIs.

Elizabeth Yasurek added an inside-the-park home run and was 3-for-4 with three runs scored and three RBIs, and Kylie Iak was 1-for-2 with three runs scored. Cadence Carlson-Murphy also went 2-for-4 with a triple, a run scored, and two RBIs.

Tigani was the winning pitcher going four innings of scoreless ball. She walked three and hit a batter while striking out four.

Madison Carnahan was 2-for-5 with a double, triple, two runs scored, and two RBIs for Youngsville while Molly Helman went 1-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBIs.

Kamden Swearingen took the loss going six innings allowing 16 runs on 16 hits, a walk, and a hit batter while striking out three.

JUNIATA VALLEY 7, CURWENSVILLE 3

ALEXANDRIA, Pa. – Braelyn Hall drove in three runs to lift Juniata Valley to a 7-3 win over visiting Curwensville.

Hall was 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored.

Ava Allison added a 2-for-2 day with a double, two walks, and two runs scored for the Hornets.

Hall was the winning pitcher going seven innings allowing three runs, two earned, on six hits, two walks, and a hit batter. She struck out 11.

Addison Siple went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, a run scored, and two RBIs.

Siple took the loss going four innings allowing seven runs, two earned, on six hits and four walks while striking out nine.

ROCKY GROVE 12, A-C VALLEY/UNION 1, 5 INNINGS

WEST FREEDOM, Pa. – RaeLynn Montgomery hit a home run and drove in five runs to lead Rocky Grove to a 12-1, five-inning win over A-C Valley/Union at the West Freedom Softball Field.

Montgomery was 2-for-3 while also being hit by a pitch. She scored twice.

Jillian Cratty added three RBIs for the Orioles while going 1-for-4, while Emily Rice was 3-for-4 with a double and two runs scored.

Elizabeth Mawhinney got the win going five innings allowing one run on three hits, a walk, and a hit batter. She struck out seven.

Brianna Anthony was 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI for A-C Valley/Union.

Magen Walzak took the loss going 4 ⅔ innings allowing 12 runs, six earned, on 10 hits, six walks, and a hit batter. She struck out four.
