Marissa Pry helped Moniteau advance to the D9 2A semifinals

KNOX, Pa. – The third set was hanging in the balance for Moniteau in Wednesday night’s District 9 Class 2A first-round volleyball match at Keystone.

The fifth-seeded Lady Warriors were tied with fourth-seeded Keystone in the third set of an eventual four-set win but had just watched a 19-15 lead disappear into a 21-20 deficit.

But an error followed by a Sophia Fleeger service ace gave Moniteau a 22-21 lead.

Another error by Keystone made it 23-21, and then after Marissa Pry blocked a Keystone hi, the Lady Panther return went out of bounce to put the Lady Warriors on the verge of the set.

Keystone did score a point to make it 24-22, but a service error by the Lady Panthers sent the match to Moniteau.
