Otto-Eldred Pulls Away Late From Bradford; Rocky Grove Edges Saegertown

DUKE CENTER, PA. – Going 12 of 14 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter, Otto-Eldred pulled away from visiting Bradford to win the Randy Stebbins Memorial Tournament, 60-49.

The Terrors led by two, 44-42, going to the final eight minutes but Landon Francis was 11 of 12 from the line in the quarter to help expand the advantage.

Francis, who went 15 of 16 from the line in the game, finished with a game-high 24 points for Otto-Eldred.

Shene Thomas added 12 points and Manning Splain chipped in with nine tallies for the Terrors, who were 21 of 23 from the line in the game.

                                      

Jake Franz scored 19 points for Bradford, which went 6 of 12 from the line, while Chase Wineberg chipped in 13 points.

ROCKY GROVE 56, SAEGERTOWN 54

SUGARCREEK BOROUGH, Pa. – Laden Carter scored 23 points as Rocky Grove nipped Saegertown, 56-52.

Carter scored six of his 23 points in the fourth quarter, as Rocky Grove outscored Saegertown 16-12 in the fourth quarter after trailing 44-40.

Noah Baughman added nine points for Rocky Grove, while Jamison Hughes added eight.

                          

Jackson Scott and Cody Huson scored 18 points each for Saegertown.

MCDOWELL 57, BENEDICTINE (OHIO) 46

ERIE, Pa. – Tyler Grove scored 27 points as McDowell beat Benedictine (Ohio), 57-46 to capture the Marsha Marsh Tip-off Tournament title.

Grove earned MVP honors after scoring 47 points in the two tournament games.

Andrew Mitchell scored nine points for the Trojans, while Kamden Kramer added eight.

Damone Darmand led Benedictine with 14 points.

HICKORY 55, GIRARD (OHIO) 25

GIRARD, OHIO – Trevor Borowicz scored 16 points to help lead Hickory to a 55-25 win over Girard (Ohio).

Landon Bean had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, while Rylan Dye was also in double figures for Hickory with 11 points.

The Hornets led 27-10 at halftime en route to the win.

                                   

Stephen Sims had five points for Girard.

EISENHOWER 71, PORTVILLE CENTRAL (N.Y.) 64

DUKE CENTER, Pa. – Freshman Austin Hanson poured in 24 points as Eisenhower earned a 71-64 win over Portville Central (N.Y.) in the consolation game of the Randy Stebbins Tournament.

Hanson knocked down fire 3’s for the Knights, who led 43-32 at halftime.

Kyler Black was 6-of-8 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter and finished with 17 points for Eisenhower, while Casey Seymour scored seven of his 14 points in the fourth quarter for Eisenhower to help put the game away.

Aidan DeFazio had a big game in the loss for Portville with 34 points.

KNOCH 62, GROVE CITY 49

NEW CASTLE, Pa. – Teegan Finuegn scored 24 points as Knoch topped Grove City, 62-49.

Zach Pacek was also in double figures for Knoch with 11 points, while Derek Long added 11.

Christian Kurz scored all 14 of his points in the first half for Grove City. Brett Loughry and Nathan Greer were also in double figures for Grove City with 12 and 11 points, respectively.

GREENVILLE 57, LAUREL 33

NEW CASTLE, Pa. – Soren Hedderick led four Greenville players in double figures with 18 points as the Trojans beat Laurel, 57-33.

Greenville led 30-13 at halftime on its way to the win.

Noah Philson added 12 points for Greenville, while Mason Vannoy had 11 and Noah Cano 10.

Lucas Santini led Laurel with seven points.

                                  

BROOKFIELD (OHIO) 45, SHARPSVILLE 41

SHARPSVILLE, Pa. – Trailing 32-27 going to the fourth quarter, Brookfield (Ohio) went on an 18-9 fourth quarter spurt to earn a 45-41 win over Sharpsville.

Matteo Fortuna had 15 points for Sharpsville, while Juday Dejoy added 11 points.

Fortuna scored four of his points in the fourth quarter rally.

Luke Staunch led Sharpsville with 17 points and nine blocks, while Dalton Byerly had eight points and eight rebounds.

WILLIAMSON 57, AUSTIN 29

GALETON, Pa. – In the Galeton Tournament consolation game, Williamson was too much for Austin downing the Panthers, 57-29.

Kristian Mizial led the Warriors with 21 points with Jack Nolan adding 18 points.

Dawson Hooftallen had 15 points seven rebounds, five steals, and two assists for Austin, while Brennan Ogden blocked seven shots and grabbed six rebounds to go with four points.
