Otto-Eldred Completes Another Perfect Run Through NTL; Ridgway, Clarion Notch Wins

COUDERSPORT, Pa. – Otto-Eldred completed its third consecutive unbeaten NTL season with a 72-46 win at Coudersport.

Girls Recaps 

Manning Splain led the Terrors (21-1 overall, 16-0 NTL) with a career-high 29 points bettering his previous career-best of 28 against Coudersport his freshman year.

Brax Caldwell also had a career-high for Otto-Eldred with 22 points while Landon Francis chipped in 11 points.

Coudersport (12-10, 10-6) got 12 points and four assists from Mason Roessner with Riley Streich adding 11 points and five rebounds.

                                      

The teams will meet again on Thursday, Feb. 15, in the inaugural NTL postseason tournament’s semifinals at Otto-Eldred. The Terrors are the top seed with Coudersport the fourth seed.

RIDGWAY 57, SHEFFIELD 35

RIDGWAY, Pa. – Getting 14 points apiece from Hunter Beeler and Alex Merritt, Ridgway beat visiting Sheffield, 57-35, in AML action.

Ethan Streich added 10 tallies for the Elkers (13-9 overall, 6-4 AML South)

Dylan Hardwick led Sheffield (6-15, 1-9 AML North) with 16 points.

                          

CLARION 64, A-C VALLEY 51

FOXBURG, Pa. – Behind 20 points from Devon Lauer, Clarion picked up its 15th win of the season with a 64-51 victory at A-C Valley in non-league action.

Daunter Girvan added nine points for the Bobcats (15-7).

Jay Clover had a game-high 21 points for A-C Valley (8-13) with Brody Dittman adding 11 points and Henry Stevanus nine.

REDBANK VALLEY 73, KEYSTONE 46

NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Breckin Minich continued his late-season surge with 18 points to help Redbank Valley down visiting Keystone, 73-46.

Minich has scored 96 points in his last five games for the Bulldogs (19-2).

Kieran Fricko added 13 points in the victory with Braylon Wagner and Mason Clouse each adding 10 points and Owen Clouse and Mathew Kozman each scoring eight tallies.

Freshman Eli Nellis had 16 points for Keystone (8-14) and finished his rookie campaign averaging 12.6 ppg. Drew Keth added 14 points.

PUNXSUTAWNEY 61, UNITED 34

                                   

PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. – Zach Presloid paced a balanced Punxsutawney attack with 15 points in the Chucks’ 61-34 home win over United.

Jimmie Neese added 10 points for the Chucks (11-9) with Noah Weaver and Noah Kengersky each chipped in nine points.

Carter Payne led United (10-11) with 13 points.

TYRONE 72, CLEARFIELD 49

HYDE, Pa. – Braison Patrick and Evett Maines combined for 27 points, but Clearfield dropped a 72-49 home decision to Tyrone in LHAC East play.

Patrick led the Bison (4-17 overall, 2-12 LHAC East) with 15 points with Maines adding 12 tallies.

Tyrone (16-6, 11-3) stats were not available.
