CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. – We are going to try something new tonight, a live blog from the Kennedy Catholic girls at North Catholic basketball game between two of the top programs in Pennsylvania.
Not 100% sure how this is going to work, but thought it would be a nice way for fans who are interested in the matchup to follow along.

• Kennedy wins 52-42. Big road win against a very, very good opponent for Golden Eagles. Much more to come later tonight

• Vincent hit both Reitz answers for North Catholic. Eagles have 49-40 lead with 20 seconds left
• Vincent to the line shooting 2 with 28.6 and KC up 47-38

• An offensive foul was just called on Layke Fields that wasn’t even close to being one. Fan just kicked out. 41-38 Kennedy with 310 left. Kennedy wants a timeout.
• Wehner keeping North Catholic in this game. She has 8 fourth quarter points including 2 3s just hit one to get Trojans within four, 39-35, with 438 left

• Vincent knocks down a shot with 1.2 second left. Came after North Catholic got a steal and breakaway basket as KC was holding for last shot. Eagles up 33-25 going to the 4th quarter

• Kennedy Catholic takes full timeout with 203 left in 3Q still leading by 6, 29-23
• 4 straight points from Vincent has Eagles ahead 29-23 with 315 left 3Q
• Field first basket gives KC a 23-20 lead
• Ready to start 2nd half it will be North Catholic ball
• Considering everything for Eagles, foul trouble, Fields not hitting a basket and being 2 of 6 from the line to be up 2 at the break is pretty good place to be

• Harvey with 8 , Magestro 7, Pfleger, Fields each two at halftime for Kennedy
• Harvey driving layup with 6.8 left in half gives Kennedy Catholic a 19-17 halftime lead over North Catholic.

• Magestro gets Kennedy’s first basket of 2nd q it 15-14 Eahgles 2:15 left
• 7-0 North Catholic run has Trojans up 14-13 with 4:10 left in first half. Trojans given timeout after ball was inbounded by Kennedy by the same guy. Hate to harp on it but he isn’t very good.
• The male official on this game has a whistle and isn’t afraid to use it …….
• Almost 3 minutes into 2Q no baskets and now two KC players, including Fields, with 2 fouls .. 13-9 Eagles
• Harvey 6 and Magestro 5 for Eagles in that opening 8 minutes
• Magestro 3 with 32.4 left in 1Q makes it a 9-0 run and Kennedy takes a 13-7 lead at the end of the first quarter
