CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS 1, SAEGERTOWN 0
SAEGERTOWN, Pa. – Taylor Smith hit a sac fly in the sixth that scored Aly Reyes and that was the only run Cambridge Springs would need in a 1-0 win at Saegertown.

Reyes drew a leadoff walk, then stole second and third. Smith hit a fly ball to right that was just deep enough to allow Reyes to tag and score for the game’s lone run.

Hailee Rodgers struck out 14 in the win.

Saegertown’s Mikaila Obenrader had 10 strikeouts.

   

                  

UNION CITY 6, NORTH EAST 1
NORTH EAST, Pa. – Abby Tingley struck out 15 and Union City clinched at least a share of the Region 2 title with a 6-1 win at North East.

The Bears scored three runs in each of the third and sixth innings.

Eliza Reynolds hit a one-out double in the third. One out later, Cyaira Zielinski, Cathryn Reynolds and Rienna Higley hit consecutive doubles to put Union City up 3-0.

In the sixth, Katie Bowersox hit a one-out triple and came home on Emylee Zielinski’s single. Eliza Reynolds drew a two-out walk and Sydney Gilbert tripled in Emylee Zielinski and Reynolds to make it 6-0.

Tingley allowed just one earned run on nine hits with no walks over her seven innings of work.

                          

GIRARD 16, MERCYHURST PREP 1, 4 INNINGS
GIRARD, Pa. – Eight players had multiple hits and Girard scored at least two runs in every inning on its way to a 16-1 win over Mercyhurst Prep.

Kaylin Kohan led the offensive barrage with a 4-4 day at the plate. She scored three times and drove in three runs. Chloe Simmons, Tori Williams and Madison Montgomery each had three hits. Montgomery and Alivia Serrano each drove in three runs and Taylor Williams drove in a pair.

Tori WIlliams gave up one unearned run on one hit with three strikeouts.

HICKORY 20, SLIPPERY ROCK 5
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Ella Holland drove in five runs to help lead Hickory to a 20-5 win at Slippery Rock.

               

Holland drove in her runs on two hits and also scored three times. Hallie Miller, Carlie Miller and Malaiah Burns each had three RBI.

Ciana D’Antoni was 2-3 with a run scored and two RBI for the Rockets.

ERIE 11, MEADVILLE 10
MEADVILLE, Pa. – Erie scored eight runs over the final three innings in an 11-10 comeback win at Meadville.

The Bulldogs led 10-3 after the fourth, but the Royals struck for two runs in the fifth, five in the sixth and one in the seventh to complete the comeback.

NORTHWESTERN 17, CONNEAUT (OH) 2, 4 INNINGS
ALBION, Pa. – Every batter had at least one hit and Northwestern scored 14 runs over the third and fourth innings en route to a 17-2 win over Conneaut (OH).

Six of the nine Wildcats players in the lineup had multiple hits. Maddy Camp led the way with three hits, two runs scored and two RBI. Aubreigh Miller, Morgan Radzelovage and Jessie Gage also drove in two runs.

WILMINGTON 6, SHARPSVILLE 5, 10 INNINGS
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – Taylor Dlugozima scored on a passed ball in the 10th inning to give Wilmington a 6-5 win over Sharpsville.

A 4-run second had given the Greyhounds a 5-2 lead, but the Blue Devils scored three in the sixth to tie the game at 5-5.

Ella Krarup’s 3-run double in the second put Wilmington ahead, 4-2. Faith Jones’ RBI-single made it 5-2.

Sharpsville started the sixth with a ground out, then had a hit batter, two walks and a single to plate a run and cut the deficit to 5-3. A 2-run single with two outs knotted the game and set the stage for the 10th inning dramatics.
