BRADFORD 45, RIDGWAY 44, OVERTIME

BRADFORD, Pa. – Alana Benson hit a pair of 3-pointers early in overtime, and Bradford held off a late charge by Ridgway to get a 45-44 win over the visiting Lady Elkers.

Payton Delhunty sent the game to overtime when she drove the lane for a layup with 26.2 seconds left in regulation.

But Benson nailed a pair of 3-pointers in the first two minutes of the extra session to give the Lady Owls a 45-39 lead. The first 3-pointer can be watched at the 36:14 mark of the above video and the second one at the 38:31 point.

But a pair of baskets by Jenna Kasmierski got Ridgway back within one with plenty of time left.

The Lady Elkers then got a steal and had a chance to take the lead when Julie Peterson drove the lane with 10.2 seconds to play. But Peterson’s shot rolled around the rim nearly twice before falling off.

                          

Peterson ended up with the rebound and was fouled with 6.1 to go, but missed the front end of a one-and-one.

Benson drained seven 3-pointers on her way to a career-high 25 points for Bradford, while Hannah Lary, who hit three triples of her own, finished with 18 points as the pair accounted for all but two of Bradford’s 34 tallies.

Kasmierski led Ridgway with 13 points with Peterson adding 10, Delhunty nine and Eve Cobaugh eight.

COUDERSPORT 38, ST. MARYS 26

COUDERSPORT, Pa. – Behind a game-high 20 points from Sarah Chambers, Coudersport picked up a 38-26 win over visiting St. Marys.

Elizabeth Frame added 11 points in the win for the Lady Falcons.

Kyla Johnson and Jayssa Snelick each scored 10 points for St. Marys.

MONITEAU, 38, KARNS CITY 31

KARNS CITY, Pa. – Aslyn Pry turned an all-around solid performance in helping Moniteau to a 38-31 win at Karns City, the Lady Warriors second win of the season over their Butler County rival.

Pry had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds while also adding six assists and four blocked shots.

                                   

Freshman Catherine Kelly led Moniteau with 16 points.

Emma Johns hit three 3-pointers and netted a game-high-tying 16 points for Karns City with Rossi McMillen adding 10.

OTTO-ELDRED 54, KANE 39

KANE, Pa. – Behind a big night from Reilly Raught, Otto-Eldred picked up a 54-39 road win over Kane.

Raught had a game-high 17 points, six steals, six blocked shots, and three assists for the Lady Terrors.

Katie Sheeler added 12 points, four steals, and three assists.

Bri Heller added 10 points and nine rebounds, and Kayley Heller chipped in four points and seven rebounds.

Sarri Swanson had a team-high 16 points for Kane with Rainee wright adding 11.

BROCKWAY 52, CURWENSVILLE 24

CURWENSVILLE, Pa. – Selena Buttery came within an assist of a triple-double, as Brockway rolled to a 52-24 road win over Curwensville.

Buttery netted 16 points, grabbed 21 rebounds, handed out nine assists, and blocked four shots in the victory, while Danielle Wood netted a game-high 22 points.

Also for the Lady Rovers, Nikki Baker scored eight points, Ciara Morelli swiped three balls and grabbed four rebounds, and Madelyn Schmader chipped in four rebounds, four steals, and a point.

Alyssa Bakaysa led Curwensville with 14 points.

ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 51, NORTHERN POTTER 32

                                  

ST. MARYS, Pa. – Sydney Alexander scored 11 points to help Elk County Catholic to a 51-32 win over visiting Northern Potter.

Fellow freshman Tori Newton chipped in with 10 points for the Lady Crusaders.

Courtney Martin led Northern Potter with 13 points with Becca Martin adding seven.
