London, Dinger Lead Punxy Baseball Past Karns City in Lone Game Tuesday

BUTLER, Pa. – Isaac London drove in three runs and Zach Dinger had a pair of hits to help Punxsutawney to a 9-2 win over Karns City in a home game for Punxsutawney held at Michelle Krill Memorial Field at Historic Pullman Park Butler.

London was 1-for-4 with Dinger going 2-for-4 with a triple, an RBI, and two runs scored.

Jake Sikora and Ashton Stonbraker added doubles for the Chucks with Sikora also walking, driving in a run, and scoring twice and Stonbaker walking twice and driving in a run.

Cole Sherwin was 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored for Karns City with Braden Grossman going 1-for-1 with three walks and an RBI.

Coy Martino got the win going five innings allowing an earned run on one hit and eight walks while striking out six.

                  

Josh Tyger pitched two innings for Punxsutawney allowing one earned run on three hits while striking out two.

Michael Neff took the loss for Karns City pitching 4 ⅓ innings allowing six runs, three earned, on five hits, two walks, and a hit batter while striking out one.

Tyler Hutchison pitched ⅔ of an inning allowing two unearned runs on a hit and two walks, while Wyatt Fleming tossed one inning allowing one earned run on two hits and a walk while striking out two.
