Rewatch the game:

Trailing 45-44, Harmon’s jumper with nine seconds remaining sent the Bulldogs to a 47-44 win over DuBois Central Catholic in a game played at the PAW Center at Penn State DuBois.

See Harmon’s game-winner:

It was part of a 28-point effort for Harmon on her way to Allegheny Grille of Foxburg Player of the Game.

“We were only down one, so we knew a two would put us up, and a two is a higher percentage for a three,” Harmon said during the Cole Orthodontic Associates postgame interview. “We tried to open it up for a layup and that’s kind of what ended up happening.”

DCC didn’t call time out, instead pushing the pace when Risser corralled a pass but stepped out of bounds before she made what would have been the game-winner with a 1/10th of a second to play.

DCC coach Jordan Hoover was whistled for a technical for coming out on the court after the play, and Harmon ended the game with a pair of free throws.

DCC, which trailed by as many as 11 in the first half, went up 42-40 on Lexi Berta’s layup with 3:02 to play.

A Kaylee Risser jumper gave DCC a 44-40 lead with 1:34 to play, and Harmon came down and cut the deficit to 44-42 with a layup with 1:16 to play.

A DCC turnover gave Redbank Valley (12-2) the ball back, and Harmon drew a foul with 33.6 seconds to play. She made the first free throw and missed the second, but Harmon, after a collision with Marina Hanes, got the offensive rebounds, setting the stage for Harmon’s game-winner.

Addy Bond was also in double figures for Redbank Valley with eight points, while Izzy Bond netted seven.

Risser led DCC (7-5) with 12 points, while Jessy Frank and Emma Elensky tallied eight each.

ERIE 42, SHALER 40

PITTSBURGH – Erie led 34-21 after three quarters and held on for a 42-40 win over Shaler.

Shaler cut the lead to 39-38 late in the fourth quarter, but Draya Neavins hits two free throws to make it a 41-38 game.

Jorja Williams hit two free throws for Shaler with 4.6 seconds left to cut the lead to one, 41-40, but Erie’s Deeja Williams was fouled and made 1-of-2 from the line, and Shaler’s last-gasp attempt was no good.

Ari Reap had 13 points and 11 rebounds for Erie (11-4), while Williams had 12 points and Neavins eight.

Bayleigh Perez had 13 points to lead Shaler.
