Eisenhower Boys Top Saegertown; Greenville, Slippery Rock Notch Wins; CASH Girls Power Past Corry

RUSSELL, Pa. – Eisenhower raced out to a 30-14 halftime lead en route to a 67-55 Region 3 win over Saegertown.

Wyatt Lookenhouse scored 25 points for the Knights (10-9), who swept the season series from the Panthers (14-6).

Kyler Black was all over the court for the Knights, finishing with seven points, while notching 11 rebounds.

                                      

Black talked about the win afterward:

Saegertown got as close as seven in the fourth quarter before the Knights were able to close it out.

Kris Bunk scored 15 of his 18 points in the second half for Eisenhower, while Johnny Palmieri knocked down three 3’s to finish with nine points.

Brady Greco scored 15 of his 17 points in the second half for Saegertown, while Luke Young came off the bench and scored 14 points for the Panthers.

GREENVILLE 61, CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS 39

GREENVILLE, Pa. – Greenville jumped out to a 17-5 lead after the first quarter and never looked back en route to a 61-39 non-region win over Cambridge Springs.

Logan Lentz and Soren Hedderick scored 21 points each for the Trojans, with Hedderick knocking down six 3’s. Noah Philson added eight points in the win.

Josh Reisenauer and Owen Riley had nine points each for Cambridge Springs.

SLIPPERY ROCK 67, PERRY 40

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Slippery Rock scored 43 points in the first half en route to a 67-40 win over Perry.

The Rockets led by 19 at the half, led by Josh Book, who scored 12 of his game-high 20 points in the first half.

John Sabo finished with 11 points for the Rockets, while Dylan Gordon and Jacob Wolak had nine points apiece.

Quinsaun Reese led Perry with 15 points.

                                   

GIRLS

CONNEAUT 49, CORRY 8

LINESVILLE, Pa. – Lainie Harrington had 12 points, seven rebounds, and three steals as Conneaut powered past Corry, 49-8 in Region 5 action.

Jacqui Detelich had eight points, four rebounds, and two steals, while Courtney Perrye had seven points for CASH.

Eliza Harrington added six points, six rebounds, four assists, and three steals for the Eagles.

Halle Albers had five points for Corry.

UNION (NEW CASTLE) 58, GREENVILLE 21

NEW CASTLE, Pa. – Kayla Fruehstorfer had 14 points as Union (New Castle) earned a 58-21 win over Greenville.

Kyle Fruehstorfer added 12 points in the win for Union.

Josie Lewis had 11 points and Grace Cano eight for Greenville.
