Clearfield Rolls Past Penns Valley; Keystone, ECC, DCC Gets Lopsided Wins

SPRING MILLS, Pa. – Christian Welker had three RBIs to help visiting Clearfield to a 12-4 win over Penns Valley.

Welker went 1-for-2 with two walks and a run scored.

Hayvin Bumbarger added a pair of RBIs and two runs scored while walking twice for the Bison, and Morgen Billotte, Hunter Rumsky, and Will Domico each had two hits.

Billotte was 2-for-3 with two walks, an RBI, and three runs scored, Rumsky was 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI, and Domico was 2-for-3 with two walks and an RBI.

   

                  

Jarrett Stover had a pair of RBIs for Penns Valley going 1-for-3 with a double while Dakota Brodzina was 2-for-2 with two walks, a run scored, and an RBI.

Rumsky got the win going 6 ⅓ innings allowing four earned runs on five hits and five walks while striking out six. Elijah Quick got the final two outs for the Bison.

Jon Meyer took the loss going 1 ⅔ innings allowing nine runs, eight earned, on six hits, five walks, and a hit batter while striking out two.

KEYSTONE 15, FOREST AREA 0, 3 INNINGS

KNOX, Pa. – Cole Henry drove in five runs to lead Keystone past visiting Forest Area, 15-0, in three innings.

                          

Henry was 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored.

Brendan Flebotte and Aidan Tharan each added a pair of RBIs for the Panthers with Flebotte going 1-for-2 with a walk and Tharan 1-for-2 with a walk and a run scored.

Kord Stewart was also 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored in the victory with Drew Keth going 2-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI.

Warren Dashner had the lone hit for Forest Area.

               

Keth got the win going three innings allowing a hit while striking out four.

Colton Kuntz took the loss going 1 ⅔ innings allowing seven runs, six earned, on three hits, four walks, and a hit batter while striking out one.

ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 13, BRADFORD 0

BRADFORD, Pa. – Visiting Elk County Catholic put the finishing touches on a 13-0 win with a six-run seventh inning.

The Crusaders led 3-0 going to the fifth but scored four in the fifth before adding six in the seventh to secure the blowout.

Joe Tettis and Wil Wortman each had three RBIs for ECC.

Tettis went 2-for-4 while Wortman was 2-for-2 with a run scored.

Isaac Dellaquilla added a 2-for-4 day with a walk, two runs scored, and two RBIs, while David Anderson was 2-for-4 with a walk, an RBI, and two runs scored.

Aiden Williard went 1-for-2 with a triple for Bradford.

Tettis got the win going seven shutout inning allowing three hits and a walk while striking out 13.

            

Willard took the loss going five innings allowing seven runs, three earned, on four hits, four walks, and a hit batter while striking out five.

DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 9, BROCKWAY 1

BROCKWAY, Pa. – Brayden Fox threw a three-hitter and drove in three runs to lead visiting DuBois Central Catholic to a 9-1 win over Brockway.

Fox gave up one earned run. He walked three and struck out nine while going 2-for-4 at the plate with a run scored.

Kaden Brezenski also drove in three runs going 1-for-2 with a walk and a run scored.

Also in the win, Aiden Snowberger was 2-for-5 with an RBI and two runs scored, Carter Hickman was 1-for-2 with a double, two walks, and two runs scored, Carter Kosko was 3-for-3 with a walk, an RBI, and two runs scored, and Trenton Miller was 2-for-4.

Chad Young was 2-for-3 for Brockway.

Ezra Swanson took the loss going five innings allowing six earned runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out three.

MOUNT UNION 11, CURWENSVILLE 1, 6 INNINGS

MOUNT UNION, Pa.- Blaine Hunsinger went 2-for-2 with a walk, a run scored, and four RBIs to help Mount Union to an 11-1, six-inning home win over Curwensville.

Cainen Atherton hit a home run in the victory while going 1-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI, Cameron Donaldson was 2-for-2 with a walk, and RBI, and three runs scored, and Rylan Plank was 1-for-3 with a run scored and two RBIs.

Logan Kunkle and Ayden Sutika had hits for Curwensville with Nik Fegert driving in Christian Fegert for the Golden Tides’s lone run.

Cameron Donaldson got the win going five innings allowing an unearned run on a hit and a walk while striking out six. Cody McClain pitched a scoreless sixth allowing a hit and a walk.

Evan McCartney took the loss going two innings allowing six earned runs on four hits, three walks, and a hit batter.
