Clarion Girls Secure KSAC Playoff Berth; Redbank Valley Wins KSAC Title; Fairview Rolls

SENECA, Pa. – Taylor Alston and Marley Kline combined to score 33 points to help visiting Clarion to a 40-27 road KSAC win over Cranberry that should seal up a KSAC playoff spot for the Lady Cats.

Alston scored 18 points and Kline 15 points for Clarion (12-7 overall, 6-2) KSAC.

Clarion is tied with Karns City for third place in the conference with Moniteau a game back with one game to play. But because Moniteau lost to both Karns City and Clarion the tiebreakers should go to the Lady Cats and Lady Gremlins.

Haylie Gregory led Cranberry (4-16, 1-7) with eight points.

                                      

FAIRVIEW 54, FORT LEBOEUF 23

WATERFORD, Pa. – Paige Garrity scored 18 points as Fairview notched a 54-23 Region 6 win over Fort LeBoeuf.

Bre Heidt was also in double figures for Fairview (15-5 overall, 7-3 Region 6), while Ella Garrity had eight and Riley Sholes seven.

Fairview led 32-12 at halftime en route to the win.

Jillian Soder had eight points and Haylee Will had seven for Fort LeBoeuf (4-15, 0-9).

                          

REDBANK VALLEY 74, UNION/A-C VALLEY 23

NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Freshman Elaina Carrico pumped in a career-best 21 points to lead Redbank Valley past visiting Union/A-C Valley, 74-23, to clinch the KSAC regular-season title.

Mylee Harmon added 19 points for the Lady Bulldogs (15-5 overall, 8-0 KSAC) while Addy Bond had 12 points and Izzy Bond 10.

Ava Strauser and Kya Wetzel each had six points for Union/A-C Valley (2-17, 0-7).

WEST MIDDLESEX 44, REYNOLDS 9

WEST MIDDLESEX, Pa. – Caitlin Stephens poured in 25 points as West Middlesex topped Reynolds in Region 1 action, 44-9.

Emma Mild added nine points in the win for the Big Reds (16-3 overall, 9-2 Region1).

Julie Wade had eight points to lead Reynolds (4-15, 3-8).

KEYSTONE 54, FOREST AREA 27

KNOX, Pa. – Behind 22 points from Ashlee Albright, Keystone topped visiting Forest Area, 54-27, in NTL action.

                                   

While nine Lady Panthers (8-12 overall, 4-5 KSAC) scored, no one else had more than six points.

Kaylie Rooke led Forest Area (7-13, 1-7) with 10 points with Amber Guzzi scoring eight.
