Bowser Drives in Three as Keystone Beats Lakeview; DCC, CVille, OV Softball All Roll

KNOX, Pa. – Natalie Bowser had two hits and three RBIs to help Keystone to a 12-7 home win over Lakeview.

Bowser went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and two runs scored.

Karley Callander also drove in a pair for the Lady Panthers going 1-for-4 with a double and a run scored, while Lydia Sheatz was 2-for-4 with a double, two runs scored, and two RBIs.

Leah Exley added a double and a triple for Keystone going 2-for-3 with a walk, an RBI, and three runs scored, and Keira Best was 2-for-2 with two walks, two runs scored, and an RBI.

   

                  

Hemi Brazel hit a home run for Lakeview and went 2-for-4 with a run scored and two RBIs, while Allison Sontherimer was 1-for-4 with a double, a run scored, and two RBIs and Zoe Proper was 1-for-4 with a double, an RI, and two runs scored.

Bowser got the win going five innings allowing two unearned runs on two hits and a hit batter while striking out five.

Exley pitched two innings giving up five runs, four earned, on five hits and a walk while striking out three.

Brazel took the loss going six innings allowing 12 runs, eight earned, on 10 hits and five walks while striking out eight.

DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 16, KARNS CITY 0, 3 INNINGS

                          

KARNS CITY, Pa. – Melia Mistskvaich and Rose Whipple hit home runs as visiting DuBois Central Catholic rolled to a 16-0, three-inning win over Karns City.

Whipple was 2-for-3 while adding a double, a run scored, and five RBIs, while Mitskavich was 1-for-2 with a walk, three runs scored, and three RBIs.

Jessy Frank, Lydia Morgan, and Marina Hanes each added doubles for the Lady Cardinals with Frank going 1-for-2 with a walk, two runs scored, and three RBIs, Morgan going 1-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored, and Hanes going 1-for-2 with a walk, a run scored, and an RBI.

Also for DCC, Kali Franklin walked three times and scored twice, Kyley Risser went 1-for-1 with a walk, two runs scored, and two RBIs, Lauren Davidson was 1-for-3 with two runs scored, and Rylee Kulbatsky was 2-for-2 with two runs scored.

               

Kulbatksy tossed a three-inning no-hitter walking five and striking out six.

Jess Dunn walked twice for Karns City.

Addison Burrows took the loss going a ⅓ of an inning giving up two earned runs on three walks.

Lyrik Reed gave up 14 runs, seven earned, on 10 hits and four walks.

CURWENSVILLE 17, PURCHASE LINE 1, 3 INNINGS

COMMODORE, Pa. – Scoring nine in the second and seven in the third, Curwensville picked up an easy, 17-1, road win over Purchase Line in three innings.

Ava Hainsey and Alaina Reitz each drove in three runs for the Lady Tide with Hainsey going 3-for-3 with a run scored and Reitz going 2-for-3 with two runs scored.

Addison Butler added three hits going 3-for-4 with two doubles, three runs scored, and an RBI in the victory while Addison Siple, Natalie Wischuck, and Addison Warren each chipped in a pair of RBIs.

Siple was 1-for-3 with a double and a walk, Wischuck was 1-for-2 with a double and a run scored, and Warren was 2-for-2 with a double, a walk, and three runs scored.

Ava Olosky also went 2-for-2 with a walk, an RBI and three runs scored for Curwensville.

            

Siple, meanwhile, didn’t allow a hit although she was charged with an earned run thanks to a hit batter and three walks. She struck out seven.

OSWAYO VALLEY 18, CAMERON COUNTY 1, 3 INNINGS

EMPORIUM, Pa. – An 11-run second inning helped Oswayo Valley to an 18-1, three-inning win at Cameron County.

Catelyn Dailey hit a home run while going 3-for-4 with three runs scored and three RBIs for the Green Wave, while Shayden Mesler and Khloe Carpenter each drove in a pair of runs.

Mesler was 1-for-2 with a double, two walks, and two runs scored, while Carpenter was 1-for-2 with a walk and three runs scored.

Brooke George added a double for Oswayo Valley and was 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored, and Grace Rositzke was 2-for-2 with two runs scored.

Mesler got the win going three innings allowing an unearned run on a hit while striking out eight.

ROCKY GROVE 20, FOREST AREA 9, 6 INNINGS

TIONESTA, Pa. – Emily Rice drove in six runs as visiting Rocky Grove stunned Forest Area, 20-9, in six innings at West Forest.

Rice was 4-for-6 with a home run, a double, and three runs scored, while RaeLynn Montgomery also hit a home run while going 2-for-6 with two runs scored and four RBIs.

Paige Cresswell chipped in three RBIs while going 2-for-3 with a double, two walks, and two runs scored, and Elizabeth Mawhinney was 3-of-3 with two walks, two runs scored, and two RBIs.

Madison McFarland drove in four runs for Forest Area going 4-for-4 with two doubles, two triples, and one run scored, while Anna Stitt was 2-for-3 with a walk, a run scored, and two RBIs.

Mawhinney got the win going six innings giving up nine runs, three earned, on 10 hits, five walks, and a hit batter while striking out three.

Forest Area used four different pitchers.

Izzy Flick took the loss going 1 ⅔ innings allowing nine runs, eight earned, on five hits, five walks, and a hit batter while striking out two.

McFarland gave up nine runs, two earned, on seven hits and five walks while striking out two.

Brenna Thompson pitched a scoreless ⅓ of an inning giving up a hit and a walk, and Mackenzie Mellon pitched one inning allowing two unearned runs on two hits.

MARION CENTER 6, PUNXSUTAWNEY 0, 6 INNINGS

PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. – Cheyenne Silvis tossed a six-hit shutout to lead visiting Marion Center to a 6-0 win over Punxsutawney.

Silvis walked one and struck four.

Marion Center hit four home runs with Abbey Smulik, Alexis Rousch, Mya Lipsie, and Kaily Anderson all going deep.

Smulik also doubled and was 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI, while Anderson was 2-for-3 with a run scored and two RBIs, and Lipsie went 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI.

Olivia Toven was 2-for-2 for Punxsuatweny.

Karli Young took the loss going 4 ⅓ innings allowing six runs, three earned, on seven hits while striking out six.

Ciara Toven went 1 ⅔ innings allowing one hit while striking out four.

NORTH PENN-LIBERTY 21, COUDERSPORT 1, 3 INNINGS

COUDERSPORT, Pa. – Batting around nearly three times in the second innings, North Penn-Liberty rolled past homestanding Coudersport, 21-1, in three innings.

In a 20-run second inning, the Mounties sent 25 batters to the plate with the first 11 reaching base.

Saige Lehman, Megan Spohn, and Haley Litzelman each drove in three runs for NTL with Lehman going 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored, Spohn going 2-for-2 with a double and two runs scored, and Litzelman going 2-for-3.

Mackenzi Tice added a pair of RBIs in the win going 2-for-3 with a double and three runs scored.

Madyson Dubots-Angood was 1-for-2 with a home run, a run scored, and an RBI for Coudersport, while Ava Wahlers was 1-for-2.

Litzelman got the win going three innings allowing an earned run on two hits and a walk while striking out nine.

Savanah Myers took the loss pitching an inning allowing 11 earned runs on seven hits and four walks, while Ryelle Black gave up 10 runs, nine earned, on 10 hits, two walks, and a hit batter in two innings of work.
