That game will be on Saturday at a site and time to be determined.

MORRISDALE, Pa. – Elk County Catholic season came to a disappointing ending with a 54-30 loss to District 6 runner-up Williamsburg in the second round of the PIAA Class 1A girls’ playoffs at West Branch High School.

The D9 champion Lady Crusaders (26-3) were hoping to add another state gold to their trophy case but instead were held to their lowest point total in 46 games by the Blue Pirates (26-3).

Williamsburg showed its dominance early taking a 14-4 lead at the end of the first quarter thanks to five points each from Ayla Hileman and LeeAnna Royer.

Hileman ended up leading the Blue Pirates with 16 points, Royer added 15 points, and Gorsuch had 14 tallies.

The Trojanettes (19-7) opened the game with a 14-2 run. Sammie Ruhlman’s 3-pointer ended the run, but turnovers and Rocco’s hot shooting kept the Dragons (21-6) from going on a run of their own.

Warren played even with North Catholic through most of the second quarter, but Rocco knocked down a triple with 1:49 to play to put the Trojanettes up 26-12 at the half.
