Youngsville Wins Pitchers’ Duel Against Cochranton; Fairview Walks Off Against Oil City powered by N. Washington Rodeo

YOUNGSVILLE, Pa. – Nathan Lucks fired a complete game four-hitter as Youngsville earned a 3-1 win over Cochranton.

Lucks struck out seven, walked two and threw 68 of his 103 pitches for strikes.

Youngsville trailed 1-0 after two innings, but tied the game in the third and scored two more in the fourth.

An error and a passed ball allowed a pair of runs to score for Youngsville.

   

                  

Matt DeSimone and Talon Mesel had Youngsville’s two hits.

Walker Carroll took the loss, allowing three runs (one earned) in his four innings of work on two hits, striking out seven and walking six.

FAIRVIEW 4, OIL CITY 3

FAIRVIEW, Pa. – Luke Rzodkiewicz’s one-out RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning was the walk-off winner as Fairview edged Oil City, 4-3.

Oil City trailed 3-2 going to the seventh, but tied the game on a two-out RBI single in the top half of the inning by Charlie Motter.

                          

Eddie Dolansky allowed the run in the top of the seventh, but did pick up the win. Tyler Benford also tossed a pair of no-hit innings for the Tigers, striking out three.

Patrick Stafford was also 2-for-3 with an RBI for Fairview.

Jacob Teeter went five innings for Oil City, allowing three runs on six hits, striking out six and walking three.

Zach Love took the loss, allowing one run on three hits in 1 ⅓ innings.

               

MAPLEWOOD 11, EISENHOWER 0, 5 innings

RUSSELL, Pa. – Chase Koelle fired a one-hitter as Maplewood beat Eisenhower, 11-0.

Landyn Reynolds drove in a pair of runs, as Maplewood took advantage of six Eisenhower errors and eight walks.

Jacob Woge had a pair of hits and scored three runs for Maplewood.

Cole Kellogg had Eisenhower’s lone hit.

HICKMAN (Mo.) 14, ERIE 4, 5 innings

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Lucas Connolly drove in four runs to help lead Hickman (Mo.) to a 14-4, 5-inning win over Erie at the Cal Ripken Experience.

Hickman scored at least three runs in every inning in the win.

Kyle Hanes got the win, allowing two runs (one earned) in four innings on three hits and three walks, striking out seven.

Eli Nicklas drove in a pair of runs for Erie.

            

WILMINGTON 11, SHARPSVILLE 1, 6 innings

WILMINGTON, Pa. – Ben Miller had four hits, including a triple and drove in a run as Wilmington topped Sharpsville, 11-1 in six innings.

Hunter Jones and Rocky Serafino drove in two runs each for Wilmington.

Serafino got the win, tossing five no-hit innings and allowing one unearned run, striking out nine and walking seven.

David Moyer took the loss for Sharpsville, allowing four runs on five hits in 4 1/3 innings, striking out two and walking five.
