Wonderling Triple-Double Paces Brookville Win; Eisenhower Topples Johnsonburg

Eden Wonderling had a triple-double for Brookville in a win over Kane.

BROOKVILLE, Pa. – Eden Wonderling had a triple-double of 16 points, 13 rebounds, and 12 steals to lead Brookville to a 32-27 win over visiting Kane.

Only three players scored for Brookville, which went over three minutes at the start of the game without a point and finished the game scoreless the final 5-plus minutes.

Kerstyn Davie added 14 points for the Lady Raiders with Bentley Hughey chipped in two tallies.

Maya Smith led Kane with 17 points.

                                      

EISENHOWER 55, JOHNSONBURG 49

JOHNSONBURG, Pa. – Clara Steinberg hit five 3-pointers on her way to 19 points, as visiting Eisenhower topped Johnsonburg, 55-49.

Lainey Font also scored 19 points for the Knights.

Natalie Dunworth paced Johnsonburg with 16 points with Maria Casilio adding 13 points and six rebounds and Zoey Grunthaner chipping in 12 points.

FAIRVIEW 35, NORTHWESTERN 27

                          

ALBION, Pa. – Fairview went on a 10-4 third-quarter spurt after leading 17-16 at halftime en route to a 35-27 win over Northwestern.

Paige Garrity led Fairview with 15 points, 10 of which came in the second half.

Bre Heidt added 12 points for Fairview in the win.

Makyala Presser-Palmer had 13 points for Northwestern.

MAPLEWOOD 46, FORT LEBOEUF 38

WATERFORD, Pa. – Trailing 18-16 at halftime, Maplewood outscored Fort LeBoeuf 30-20 in the second half on its way to a 46-38 win.

Savannah O’Hara scored 10 of her game-high 17 points in the second half in the win for Maplewood.

Maggie Means had nine points for Maplewood in the win, while Sheila Despenes and Rhaelyn Koelle had eight points each.

Jillian Soder led Fort LeBoeuf with 14 points, 13 of which came in the second half, while Kendra Tobin added 10 points.

ERIE 57, MEADVILLE 21

                                   

ERIE, Pa. – Twelve Erie players found the scoring column in a 57-21 win over Meadville.

Aubrey Neavins led Erie with 16 points, while Drayaa Thomas and Gabrielle Vaughn had seven points each.

Jayda Gongaware led Meadville with seven points.

CENTRAL-MARTINSBURG 57, CLEARFIELD 43

MARTINSBURG, Pa. – Braylin Ellis scored 12 of her 15 points in the fourth quarter to help Central-Martinsburg pull away from Clearfield, 57-43, in LHAC East action.

The Dragons led by three, 36-33, going to the fourth quarter before outscoring Clearfield 21-10 in the quarter.

Morgan Knepp had a game-high 29 points for Central.

Cayleigh Walker paced Clearfield with 13 points with Sonny Diehl adding 12 points and Hannah Glunt 10.

HARMONY 57, CURWENSVILLE 53

CURWENSVILLE, Pa. – Trailing by 17 at halftime, Curwensville saw a second-half rally come up just short in a 57-53 loss to visiting Harmony.

The Owls led 35-18 at the break but Curwensville scored 35 second-half points including 21 in the third quarter thanks to 15 second-half points from Karleigh Freyer, who didn’t score before halftime.

Addison Butler added 14 points for the Lady Tide, while Jaylee Beck had a game-high 22 points for Harmony.

The Owls also got 17 points from Jayden Fry.
