WARREN, Pa. – St. Marys’ Jayssa Snelick and Grove City’s Izzie Gamble are the TapNPay+ girls’ basketball performances of the week for the week of Jan. 8-Jan. 13, 2024.

Snelick, the District 9 TapNPay+ honoree, willed her team to a come-from-behind 54-46 win over Elk County Catholic on Saturday, Jan. 13, handing the Lady Crusaders their first loss of the year.

With her team down nine late in the third quarter, Snelick spearheaded a 17-1 run that turned the tide.

She scored the first nine points of the game and 12 of the 17 and finished the game with 28 points. That included 21 in the second half.

Gamble, the District 10 TapNPay+ winner, was huge in Grove City’s 63-57 double-overtime win over Wilmington on Jan. 8.

She had 28 points, including eight in overtime, and added 16 rebounds in the victory.
