Soft: Polczynski HIts Two HRs, Drives in Six in Karns City Win over Forest Area; Redbank Valley Pounds out 24 Runs at Brookville; Behind Siple, Curwensville Sweeps Brockway powered by N. Washington Rodeo

KARNS CITY, Pa. – Jada Polczynski hit a pair of home runs and drove in six to lead Karns City to a 10-0, six-inning win over visiting Forest Area.

Polczynski, who also added a double, was 3-for-3 with a walk and three runs scored. She hit a three-run home run in the fourth and a two-run home run in the sixth.

Lyrik Reed was also 2-for-4 with an RI and two runs scored for the Lady Gremlins with Addison Burrows going 1-for-4 with a double and two runs scored and Aubrey Taylor going 2-for-4 with two runs scored.

Burrows also tossed a three-hit shutout striking out four.

                  

Brooke Felleti and Faith Dietrich each had doubles for Forest Area.

REDBANK VALLEY 24, BROOKVILLE 4, 5 INNINGS

BROOKVILLE, Pa. – Keyauna Schimp and Braylee Yeany combined to drive in 11 runs in Redbank Valley’s 24-4, five-inning win at Brookville’s Blake Field at Northside Park.

Schimp was 4-for-5 with two doubles, three runs scored, and six RBIs while Yeany was 4-for-5 with a triple, four runs scored, and five RBIs.

                          

Quinn White hit a home run over the right-center field fence, a rare feat on the Northside. White was 3-for-5 with two RBIs and three runs scored.

Izzy Bond was also 2-for-4 with two RBIs and three runs scored, and Bella Orr was 3-for-6 with a double and three runs scored.

Makenzie Foringer got the win going five innings allowing four earned runs on five hits and three walks while striking out eight.

Jordan Daisley was 1-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs for Brookville while Alyssa Tollin was 2-for-3 with a double. Aubre Able also went 1-for-2 with a triple and an RBI, and Cadence Suhan was 1-for-3 with a run scored.

Tollini took the loss going 2 ⅔ innings allowing 12 runs, 10 earned, on 11 hits and two walks while striking out two.

CENTRAL CLARION 18, KEYSTONE 1, 4 INNINGS

KNOX, Pa. – Jenna Dunn had four RBIs to help Central Clarion to an 18-1, four-inning win at Keystone.

Dunn went 1-for-3 with a triple, a walk, and a run scored.

Abby Knapp-Greeley hit a home run for the Wildcats while going 2-for-3 with a walk, an RBI, and three runs scored.

Also for Central Clarion Clarion, Alyssa Wiant was 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI, Samantha Simpson was 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI, and two runs scored, Kaylee Smith was 2-for-2 with a walk, an RI, and three runs scored, Emileigh Mahle was 1-for-3 with a double, a walk, two runs scored, and two RIs, Jesalyn Girt was 1-for-2 with a double, a walk, two runs scored, and two RBIs, and Alexa Kitchen was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBIs.

Dunn got the win going four innings of one-hit ball. She allowed an unearned run while walking three and striking out three.

Emily Pfaff had the hit for Keystone while Emilee Dixon scored the run.

Bella Brandon took the loss going three innings allowing 17 runs, 16 earned, on 13 hits, five walks, and a hit batter. She struck out three.

            

CURWENSVILLE SWEEPS BROCKWAY

CURWENSVILLE, Pa. – Curwensville took a pair of games from Brockway winning 17-1 in three innings in a game completed from April 11 before taking the regularly scheduled game, 12-0, in five innings.

Addison Siple hit a home run while going 1-for-3 with a walk, two runs scored, and three RBIs.

Ava Hainsey added a double while going 1-for-2 with two walks, two runs scored, and two RBIs with Briah Peoples going 1-for-1 with two walks, an RBI, and two runs scored.

Siple threw a three-inning no-hitter allowing an unearned run on two walks while striking out eight.

Meeca Smith scored the run for Brockway.

Miley Wanson went three innings in taking the loss. She allowed 17 runs, 13 earned, on four hits and 23 walks while striking out three.

In the regular game, Siple and Caitlynn Irwin combined to throw a five-inning no-hitter.

Siple went two innings striking out five while Irwin went three innings striking out six.

Siple drove in seven runs going 3-for-3 with a home run, a double, and a run scored.

Addison Butler was 4-for-4 with a double, three RBIs, and three runs scored for the Lady Tide.

Meghan Hertle took the loss going 2 ⅓ innings allowing 11 earned runs on 10 hits, three walks, and a hit batter.

KANE 19, JOHNSONBURG 4, 5 INNINGS

JOHNSONBURG, Pa. – Leah Tigani went 3-for-4 with a double, a triple, three RBIs, and five runs scored to lift visiting Kane past Johnsonburg, 19-4, in five innings.

Kylie Iak added a 2-for-4 day with a double and four runs scored for the Lady Wolves while Elizabeth Yasurek was 2-for-4 with two drums scored and two RBIs.

Also for Kane, Sara Ely went 2-for-4 with four RBIs and two runs scored, and Cadence Carlson-Maybury was 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs.

Tigani got the win going six innings allowing four earned runs on seven hits and four walks while striking out eight.

Shelby Sorg went 2-for-3 with a double, a run scored, and two RBIs for Johnsonburg while Zoey Grunthaner was 2-for-2 with a walk and a run scored.

Dana Beimel took the loss going five innings allowing 19 runs, just five earned, on 11 hits, three hit batters, and 10 walks. She struck out two.

PENNS VALLEY 15, CLEARFIELD 10

SPRING MILLS, Pa. – Sydnie Dalton and Haddley Stover each drove in four runs to lead Penns Valley to a 151-0 win over visiting Clearfield.

Dalton was 4-for-5 with a double and a run scored, while Stover was 3-for-5 with a home run and a run scored.

Brooks Clara also hit a home run for the Rams going 2-for-2 with two runs scored and two RBIs.

Elle Dinges got the win pitching seven innings allowing 10 runs, seven earned, on 13 hits and four walks while striking out seven.

Aevril Hayward was 4-for-5 with a double, two runs scored, and two RBIs for Clearfield with Ruby Singleton going 2-for-4 with a walk and three runs scored.

Madi McBridge also went 1-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs for the Lady Bison, while Eve Siegel was 1-for-4 with a double, a walk, a run scored, and two RBIs.

Clearfield also saw Sam Campolong go 2-for-4 with a double, a walk, and an RBI, and Alexus Green go 2-for-2 with two RBIs.

Joelle Henry took the loss going two innings allowing nine runs, seven earned, on seven hits, a hit batter, and one walk. She struck out four.
