Rewatch the game

It was the first win over DuBois for the DCC seniors after losing the last three meetings, including 12-4 last year.

“It feels great,” Jessy Frank, the senior catcher for DCC, said in the Cole Orthodontic Associates postgame interview. “I think it has been our goal for all four years. We always wanted to be back here. This is the goal, ultimately.”

Frank, who was named the Allegheny Grille of Foxburg Player of the Game, played a big role in the victory going 2-for-4 with two RBIs and three runs scored.

With the game knotted at one after DuBois scored in the top of the third, DCC sent 15 batters to the plate in the third inning scoring 11 runs on five walks, three hit batters, a sac fly, and four singles.

Frank had one of those single driving in a run that gave the Lady Cardinals a 7-1 lead.

“I think we were really hyped,” Frank said. “We were very confident. The whole way through (the lineup) I know we can hit. I wasn’t surprised at all. I am really proud of my team.”
