Smethport’s Lent Named Week Three 2021 District 9 Jim Kelly POW Powered by the Allegheny Grille

WARREN, Pa. – For the second consecutive week, Smethport’s Noah Lent is the District 9 Jim Kelly Football Player of the Week powered by the Allegheny Grille of Foxburg.

Lent earned the Week Three honor after accounting for all five touchdowns in the Hubbers 35-14 win over Port Allegany Friday night.

The senior quarterback ran for three touchdowns and threw for two more while rushing 21 times for 208 yards and going 6 of 10 passing for 154 yards.

Jim Kelly is the Hall of Fame quarterback of the Buffalo Bills who grew up in East Brady, Pa. and went to Miami (Fla). Kelly was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2002 after passing for over 45,000 yards as a pro, including two seasons in the USFL, with 320 career touchdown passes. He led the Bills to four straight AFC Titles. Kelly’s name on the award is being used with his permission.
