WARREN, Pa. – Sharpsville’s Macie Steiner and Moniteau’s Catherine Kelly are the TapNPay+ girls’ basketball Performances of the Week for the Week of Feb. 5-10, 2024.
Steiner, the District 10 honoree, played a crucial role in the Blue Devils 53-52 Region 4 win over Slippery Rock, Thursday, Feb. 8.
She hit the game-winning shot off an inbounds pass as time expired. The ball came inbounds with 2.7 seconds left.
Steiner finished the game with 15 points and seven rebounds.
Kelly, the District 9 winner, had an unbelievable game in a 65-61 overtime win over North Clarion on Thursday, Feb. 8.
Leading a Lady Warrior rally from 15 points down with 6:57 to play, Kelly scored 23 points in the fourth quarter and overtime on her way to a career-high 38 points.
Her 3-pointer with 3.1 seconds left in regulation forced overtime, and then she hit a shot with 23.2 seconds left in overtime to erase a 61-60 deficit and give Moniteau the lead for good.
