BOYS

SHARPSVILLE 64, GREENVILLE 60, OT

GREENVILLE, Pa. – Ryan Ladjevich went 9-of-12 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter and overtime to help Sharpsville to a 64-60 overtime win over Greenville. 

                                      

Mack Staunch led the way for the Blue Devils with 22 points, while Ladjevich had 17 and Jackson Doyle had 13. 

Sharpsville scored seven of its nine points in overtime from the free-throw line. 

Greenville led 40-29 going into the fourth quarter, but Sharpsville outscored them 26-15 in the fourth to force overtime. 

Ben Cano and Landon Bielata led a balanced Trojans effort with 15 points apiece, while Jonah Lentz added nine and Jalen Ritzert eight. 

FAIRVIEW 62, WARREN 31

                          

WARREN, Pa. – James Sitter scored 20 points and Logan Frazao 18 to lead Fairview to a 62-31 win over Warren in Region 5 action. 

The Tigers raced out to a 20-8 lead after the first quarter and never looked back. 

Tyler Shultz scored eight points of his 13 points in the first quarter, while Frazao had nine of his 18 in the second quarter. 

Sitter scored 13 of his 20 in the first half and talked about the win afterward:

Parks Oridway scored all nine of his points in the first half for Warren and Ben Berdine all eight of his in the second. 

JT Blum led the Dragons with 10 points, three steals and a pair of blocks. 

CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS 54, MAPLEWOOD 26

CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS, Pa. – Jayden Shinsky scored 14 points and Hunter Spaid 13 as Cambridge Springs knocked off Maplewood in Region 2 action, 54-26. 

                                   

Shinsky scored eight points in the first quarter as the Blue Devils raced out to an early 16-7 advantage, leading from start to finish. 

Spaid knocked down three 3’s, while Nathan Held added seven points for the winners. 

Brandon Snell and Kaleb Donor had eight points each for Maplewood. 

SAEGERTOWN 67, UNION CITY 53

UNION CITY, Pa. – Max Fuller poured in 25 points to help Saegertown to a 67-53 victory over Union City.

The Panthers trailed by three at the end of the first quarter, but outscored the Bears by 11 in the second quarter to take the lead into halftime.

Jaden Wilkins scored nine of his 15 points in the fourth quarter for the Panthers, while Brady Greco added 13 points.

Matthew Bennett came out strong for the Bears, scoring 10 of his 21 points in the first quarter. Kyler Shaffer also had a strong game for UC with 17 points.

COCHRANTON 66, IROQUOIS 47

COCHRANTON – Jaiben Walker led four Cochranton players in double figures with 19 points as the Cardinals earned a 66-47 win over Iroquois. 

Walker went 9-of-14 from the free throw line, as the Cardinals blew open a 2-point game at the half by outscoring the Braves 27-6 in the third quarter. 

Jon Gallo scored 18 points for the Cardinals, while Chase Miller added 11 and Tyler George 10. 

Ben Burkhardt had 12 points to lead Iroquois and Corrion Combest added 11. 

OIL CITY 45, TITUSVILLE 10

TITUSVILLE, Pa. – In a game that was called at halftime due to a lack of available players for Titusville, Oil City came away with a 45-10 win over the host Rockets. 

                                  

Isaiah Aeschbacher had 12 points to lead the Oilers, while Cam VanWormer added 11. 

Manny Perez had seven points for Titusville. 

SLIPPERY ROCK 44, MERCER 37

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Ethan Plesakov scored 20 points to lead Slippery Rock to a 44-37 win over Mercer. 

Dylan Gordon scored all 14 of his points in the second half for the Rockets to help them to the victory. 

Woody Nickel and Jake Mattocks had 11 points each for Mercer. 

MCDOWELL 71, MEADVILLE 51

ERIE, Pa. – Jackson Hower scored 21 points as McDowell raced to a 71-51 win over Meadville.

The Trojans jumped out to a quick 15-point lead in the first quarter en route to the win.

Jonah Bock and Mason Beck had 18 and 15 points respectively for the Trojans.

Charlie Waid had 17 points for Meadville and Sam Burchard 10.

HICKORY 60, MERCYHURST PREP 46

HERMITAGE, Pa. – Peyton Mele and Connor Evans combined for 47 points to lead Hickory to a 60-46 win over Mercyhurst Prep. 

Mele scored 25 and Evans 22 for the Hornets. 

Daunte Wilcott scored 26 points for Mercyhurst Prep

WEST MIDDLESEX 58, ROCKY GROVE 46

FRANKLIN, Pa. – Richie Preston scored 21 points to lead West Middlesex to a 58-46 win over Rocky Grove. 

Isaac Clayton had 18 points to lead Rocky Grove. 

HARBOR CREEK 60, CONNEAUT (Pa.) 20

LINESVILLE, Pa. – Sam Howell and Cody Smith scored 12 points each to lead Harbor Creek to a 60-20 win over Conneaut. 

The Huskies, who also got nine points from Kolby Yale, led 38-4 at halftime. 

Ryan Richardson led Conneaut with eight points. 

CONNEAUT (OHIO) 52, SENECA 48

CONNEAUT, OHIO – Anthony Burckhartte scored 27 points to lead Conneaut (Ohio) to a 52-48 win over Seneca. 

Thayne Hayes added 10 points for the winners. 

Bobby Yost scored 15 points to lead the Bobcats. 

ERIE 58, GENERAL MCLANE 32

EDINBORO, Pa. – Erie outscored General McLane 36-11 in the second half en route to a 58-32 victory. 

Marquell Darnell led the Royals with 17 points and John Woodard added 16. 

Eric Matthews led GM with nine points. 

NORTHWESTERN 63, ERIE FIRST CHRISTIAN 48

ERIE, Pa. – Cam Perkins led four Northwestern players in double figures in a 63-48 win over Erie First Christian. 

The Wildcats also got 18 points from Ryan Tewell, 13 from Malachi Schaefer and 11 from Eric Steinle. 

Aaron Collins had 26 of EFC’s 48 points.

GIRLS

GROVE CITY 47, PORTERSVILLE CHRISTIAN 24

PORTERSVILLE, Pa. – Newly-minted 1,000-point career scorer Becca Santom scored 19 points to help Grove City past Portersville Christian, 47-24.

Clara Hannon added 15 points for the winners, who jumped out to a 25-13 halftime lead en route to the win.

Allie Lewis added six points and Piper Como five for the winners.
