Sept. 15, 2021 Soccer: Brookville Boys Pick up First Win; Brockway Girls Edge ECC

BROOKVILLE, Pa. – A pair of second half goals powered Brookville to its first win of the season, 4-2, over DuBois Central Catholic.

Garner McMaster and Steven Plyler scored in the first half to give the Raiders (1-4) a 2-0 lead.

DCC came back to tie the match on goals from Andrey Bell and Colin Micknis less than five minutes into the second half.

Brad Fiscus put the Raiders up for good near the 10-minute mark and McMaster scored again with 15:39 left to play to seal the win.

Luke McKinely had two assists in the win, while Plyler and Logan Oakes each had one helper.

BROCKWAY 2, ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 0

BROCKWAY, Pa. – Jared Marchiori and Dylan Antonuccio had a goal each to help Brockway past Elk County Catholic.

Alex Carlson and Noah Adams had assists for the Rovers.

KANE 8, COUDERSPORT 1

COUDERSPORT, Pa. – Justin Mishic had a trick and Jon Mishic scored a pair of goals to lead Kane to an 8-1 win over Coudersport.

Josh Greville, Max Smith and Ethan Illerbrun had one goal each for the Wolves. Greville tallied three assists and Aaron Mishic one.

Owen Hillard made three stops in net for Kane.

KARNS CITY 8, FOREST AREA 0

TIONESTA, Pa. – Jacob Callihan and Lathan Price scored two goals each to help Karns City blank Forest.

Mallick Metcalfe, Colson Ritzert, Seth Bishop and Dane King had one goal each. Adam Smith tallied two assists.

PORT ALLEGANY 10, NORTHERN POTTER 0

ULYSSES, Pa. – River Cramer and Justin Dunn scored three goals each to help Port Allegany to a 10-0 win over Northern Potter.

Aidan Emerick had two goals and two assists, while Syrus Sauers and Noah Yeager had a goal apiece and Austin Hamilton three assists.

Malachi Lewis had 12 stops for Northern Potter and Aidan Clark had 10 stops for Port. \

ERIE 3, HARBOR CREEK 2

ERIE, Pa. – Charles Lokole scored a pair of goals to help Erie to a 3-2 win over Harbor Creek.

Amar Al Balkhi had the other Erie goal, while Pascal Kokoji added an assist.

FAIRVIEW 7, SAEGERTOWN 1

FAIRVIEW, Pa. – Ali Hosseini scored three goals and Drew Smith two as Fairview bested Saegertown.

Logan Skelly and Jack Allen had the other Tiger goals.

WARREN 3, FORT LEBOEUF 0

WARREN, Pa. – JT Blum scored a pair of goals to help Warren to a 3-0 win over Fort LeBoeuf.

Parks Ordiway added a second-half goal for the Dragons and also assisted on one of Blum’s goals. Mark Lynds also added an assist for Warren.

Will Nebinski had six stops in net for the shutout.

HICKORY 7, SHARON 0

HERMITAGE, Pa. – Lukas Jones scored four goals to help lead Hickory to a 7-0 win over Sharon.

Logan Gordon, Michael Orendi and Luke Ruffo had one goal each, with Gordon also tallying a pair of assists.

Matt Maitland and Landon Bean combined on the clean sheet.

CATHEDRAL PREP 4, MCDOWELL 0

ERIE, Pa. – Noah Handzel and Reece Johnson scored two goals each to lead Prep to a 4-0 win over rival McDowell.

MERCYHURST PREP 2, GIRARD 2

GIRARD, Pa. – Mercyhurst Prep and Girard battled to a 2-2 draw.

Ethan Fenell and Andy Jones scored for Girard Shawn Ganger had both of the Lakers’ tallies.

BROCKWAY, Pa. – Eva Bisbey scored the game’s lone goal in Brockway’s 1-0 win over ECC.

Josie Orinko had the clean sheet in net.

KARNS CITY 6, FOREST AREA 1

TIONESTA, Pa. – McKenna Martin scored four goals to help send Karns City to a 6-1 win over Forest Area.

Lryik Reed and Emma Dailey tallied one goal each. Ally Fennell had two assists and Maddy Gibson, Cece Morrow and Emmy Rice one each.

PORT ALLEGANY 2, BROOKVILLE 1

BROOKVILLE, Pa. – Port Allegany’s two first half goals were just enough as the Gators topped host Brookville, 2-1.

Alliyah Penick and Evin Stauffer put the Gators up 2-0 at the half.

Alayna Haight scored with two minutes left in the match for the final tally.
