Sept. 14 Soccer Recaps: Clearfield Girls Rally Past BEA; Warren, Bradford Girls Victorious

   

BELLEFONTE, Pa. – Clearfield fell behind Bald Eagle Area early but score three unanswered goals for a 3-1 victory to stay unbeaten.

After BEA’s Fallen McHenry scored on an unassisted goal to make it 1-0, the Bison scored a pair of late first half goals, courtesy of Elle Smith and Kira Knox, with Emma Hipps and Knox adding the assists.

Smith scored on a direct kick in the second half as well.

Jaylee Gill (first half) and Allison Shipley (second half) combined for three saves for Clearfield, while Mackenzie Vincent had eight stops for BEA.

            

WARREN 13, OIL CITY 0

WARREN, Pa. – Audrey Smith scored three goals and Lennon Daily, Georgie Bickling and Eliza Brook netted two each as Warren blanked Oil City, 13-0.

Ella Ordiway, Lilly Brooker, Hailey Peterson and Ella Getner added one marker each for the Dragons.

Lauren Anderson, Ordiway and Brook had two assists each, while Daily, Bickling and Getner each had one.

FORT LEBOEUF 14, CORRY 0

                          

WATERFORD, Pa. – Maggie Morrison scored four goals to help Fort LeBoeuf to a 14-0 win over Corry.

Ashley Froess and Emily Samluk added two goals apiece, while Elise Cacchione, Jocelyn Hoover, Mackenzie Huston, Abby Kightlinger, Lydia Kowalczyk and Bri Winkelman added one each.

Froess had six assists, Cacchione three and Lauren Green, Hoover, Kowalczyk and Samluk one each.

BRADFORD 6, ERIE 0

ERIE, Pa. Maddie Cowburn and Kelsea Austin scored two goals each to help lead Bradford to a 6-0 win over Erie.

Abbie Nuzzo and Bella Prince each added a tally for the Lady Owls, while Paige Smith had the clean sheet.

WEST BRANCH 3, REDBANK VALLEY 1

NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Redbank Valley fell 3-1 at West Branch.

Emma Kemmer scored the lone Redbank goal on an assist from Elena Root.

MCDOWELL 5, MEADVILLE 0

                        

ERIE, Pa. – Bri Farrell scored a pair of goals to help McDowell to a 5-0 win over Meadville.

Sara Malina, Grace Emanuel and Abby Faulhaber had the other Trojan tallies.

VILLA MARIA 3, MERCYHURST PREP 1

ERIE, Pa. – Villa Maria earned a hard-fought 3-1 win over Mercyhurst Prep.

Alexa Tojaga, Moira Thunell and Olivia Dixon all scored for the Victors.

         

SENECA 2, EISENHOWER 0

WATTSBURG, Pa. – Addie Galkowski and Kendall Joint each scored a goal to help Seneca to a 2-0 win over Eisenhower.

Rorri Mueller had the clean sheet in net.

NORTH EAST 4, TITUSVILLE 0

TITUSVILLE, Pa. – Elizabeth Svetz scored a pair of goals to help North East past Titusville.

Evelyn Bish and Ava Thies-Green had the other North East goals.

CONNEAUT 3, GREENVILLE 2

LINESVILLE, Pa. – Aryah Lindsey scored two goals to help lead Conneaut past Greenville, 3-2.

Alayna Ott had the other Conneaut marker.

MAPLEWOOD 2, IROQUOIS 0

GUYS MILLS, Pa. – McKenzie Means scored both goals to send Maplewood to a 2-0 victory over Iroquois.

Natalie Slagle had the shutout in net for the Tigers.

FAIRVIEW 5, CONNEAUT (Ohio) 2

FAIRVIEW, Pa. – Lilly Sanders recorded a hat trick to help Fairview past Conneaut (Ohio).

Maddie Pyne and Annie Thayer had the other Fairview goals.

Sydney Anderson and Claire Eaton found the back of the net for the Spartans.
