Redbank Valey Girls Score Overtime Win Over Clarion; Prep Blanks GM; Dunn, Port A. Boys Triumph (Oct. 16 Soccer Recaps)

CLARION, Pa. – Lia Hageter’s goal off a feed from Bell Orr in overtime lifted Redbank Valley to a 5-4 win over Clarion.

It was Hageter’s third goal of the game, while Allie Shoemaker had two for Redbank Valley.

Lexi Coull had two goals for Clarion, while Alex Leadbetter Janiya Jones had one each for Clarion, with Coull also adding an assist.

CATHEDRAL PREP 3, GENERAL MCLANE 0

EDINBORO, Pa. – Callie Cacchione had a pair of goals as Cathedral Prep beat General McLane, 3-0.

            

Olivia Dixon had the other goal for Prep. Dixon, CC Cacchione and Kate Peterson had one assist each.

Jordan Senz had the shutout in net.

EISENHOWER 3, IROQUOIS 0

ERIE, Pa. – Julia Gesing scored a pair of goals as Eisenhower beat Iroquois, 3-0.

Emily Grosch had the other goal for Eisenhower.

                          

BROCKWAY 2, KEYSTONE 1

KNOX, Pa. – Mia Martino had two goals as Brockway edged Keystone, 2-1.

Ana Hughes added an assist for the Rovers.

Brianna Manno scored for Keystone.

Jerzey Bell had 25 stops for Keystone and Josie Orinko three for Brockway.

FOREST AREA 4, KANE 3

MARIENVILLE, Pa. – Forest Area built a 4-0 first half lead and held off a Kane rally in a 4-3 victory.

Sydney Baumcratz had two goals for Forest, while Jess Culver and Ryelee O’Connor had one each.

Hayley VanDyke, Allison Ochs and Ann Weikert had assists for Forest.

Emily Stephan had a pair of goals for Kane, while Reanna Raught had a goal and an assist.

                        

Brooke Stienman had nine stops in net for Forest.

WEST MIDDLESEX 16, WILMINGTON 1

WEST MIDDLESEX, Pa. – Analiese Hendrickson had four goals as Wilmington beat West Middlesex, 16-1.

Sarah Dieter had three goals for Wilmington, while Isabella Melnick, Genevieve Glavach and Emma Mershimer had two each and Emily Arblaster, Brianna Jenkins and Evi Dickinson had one each.

Melnick had four assists, while Dieter and Dickinson had three each and Mershimer two.

         

Katelynn Moyer had 26 saves for West Middlesex.

FORT LEBOEUF 1, HICKORY 0

WATERFORD, Pa. – Jenna Popowski scored the lone goal of the game in the second half to lift Fort LeBoeuf to a 1-0 win over Hickory.

Gabby Green had the clean sheet in net.

NORTH EAST 2, FRANKLIN 0

FRANKLIN, Pa. – Evelyn Bish scored a pair of goals as North East beat Franklin, 2-0.

MEADVILLE 2, ERIE 1

ERIE, Pa. – Brielle Cheney and Bryn Nichols scored one goal each to lift Meadville to a 2-1 win over Erie.

MCDOWELL 14, OIL CITY 1

ERIE, Pa. – Tess Trapp and Trinity Bennett had two goals each as McDowell beat Oil City, 14-1.

Grace Faulkner, McLaughlin, Maya Huggler, Abigail Wolff and Zabrosky also scored for the Trojans.

Faulkner also added a pair of assists.

SENECA 7, MAPLEWOOD 0

GUYS MILLS, Pa. – Autumn Waid scored three goals as Seneca blanked Maplewood, 7-0.

Olivia Pikiewicz had two goals and Aubrey Hammill another for the Bobcats.

GIRARD 5, CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS 2

GIRARD, Pa. – Madison Soudan had a hat trick as Girard beat Cambridge Springs, 5-2.

Abbi Erion and Peyton Koma had one goal each in the win for the Yellow Jackets.

Koma and Erion had one assist each.

FAIRVIEW 5, GROVE CITY 0

FAIRVIEW, Pa. – Five different Fairview players scored in a 5-0 win over Grove City.

Molly O’Reilly, Maisee Carrier, Hannah Lindenberger, Katie Scott and Anne Thayer had one goal each.

Thayer, Lindenberger and Isabel Owens had one assist each.

BOYS

PORT ALLEGANY 4, NORTHERN POTTER 1

ULYSSES, Pa. – Justin Dunn had a hat trick as Port Allegany beat Northern Potter, 4-1.

Henry Kisler had the other goal for Port while also tallying an assist, with Derek Smith and Austin Hamilton notching one assist each.

Wyatt Bliss scored for Northern Potter.

Malachi Lewis had 12 saves for NoPo and Aidan Clark seven for Port Allegany. Kisler also had a save for Port after Clark was knocked out with an injury.

BROOKVILLE 4, BROCKWAY 1

BROOKVILLE, Pa. – Steven Plyler scored all four goals as Brookville beat Brockway, 4-1.

Caleb Daugherty scored for Brockway before Plyler and the Raiders rattled off four unanswered goals.

Jacob Maze had eight stops for Brookville.

ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 6, COUDERSPORT 2

ST. MARYS, Pa. – Benny Cerroni had five goals and an assist to lead Elk County Catholic to a 6-2 win over Coudersport.

Bradyn Pistner scored a goal and had an assist. Chandler Nunamaker also had an assist.

Briar Miller scored for Coudersport.

REDBANK VALLEY 2, CLARION-LIMESTONE 1

STRATTANVILLE, Pa. – Caleb Root scored the game-winning goal in the second half as Redbank Valley beat Clarion-Limestone, 2-1.

Owen Clouse scored in the first half for Redbank Valley.

Martin Ormeno scored for C-L to open the second half on an assist from Wyatt Boyden.

C-L appeared to score the game-tying goal with just over a minute to play, but was called offsides.
