Penn State DuBois Wins Small College World Series Opener Over D’Youville

DUBOIS, Pa. – Connor Cherry tossed a complete game 5-hitter as Penn State DuBois beat D’Youville 10-5 in its Small College World Series opener.

Cherry allowed four hits and struck out two.

The Lions scored four runs in the second inning en route to the win, scoring in every inning the rest of the way.

Brett Beith would go 2 for 3 with 4 RBIs for DuBois, while Kyle Elensky and Colby Bodtorf each had three hits and scored two runs each. Beith also stole two bases.

Billy Morris belted two home runs for D’Youville.

   

                  

DuBois will play Miami-Hamilton University Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m.
