MEADVILLE, Pa. – North East and McDowell won the District 10 Class 2A and 3A, respectively, team girls golf championships Thursday.

The Grape Pickers won the 2A title by seven strokes over Hickory, 226-233. The Trojans rolled to a 242-319 win over Meadville. Both contests, as well as the first day of the individual tournament, were held at the Country Club of Meadville.
North East and McDowell advanced to the PIAA team tournament Oct. 26, at the Heritage Hills Golf Resort in York.
The two teams also dominated the first day of individual competition.
In Class 2A, North East’s Lydia Swan leads the field with a 70. The Grape Pickers’ Anna Swan, along with Hickory’s McKenzie Gustas and Villa Maria’s Tara Thomas are all just one shot back.
McDowell’s Zoe McClain leads the Class 3A field with a 73, while teammate Natalie Brosig is two back at a 75. The Trojans’ Alexis Marsh is tied with Meadville’s Phoebe Templin for third at 91.
The individual tournament concludes Saturday in Meadville.
