North Clarion’s Homan Scores 1,000th Career Point in Win Over Keystone

FRILLS CORNERS, Pa. – North Clarion’s Lily Homan scored her 1,000th career points Wednesday night in a 45-24 win over visiting Keystone.

Homan, who spent her first two years at Venango Catholic before coming over to North Clarion prior to last season, needed four points entering the night to reach the milestone and wasted little time in accomplishing the feat.

She scored the game’s first bucket with a jumper in the paint 49 seconds into the game and then hit the magic number when she came up with a steal that led to a layup with 6:31 left in the first quarter.

Homan finished the night with a game-high 15 points and has 1,011 in her career, 637 at Venango Catholic and 374 at North Clarion.

Behind Homan, the She-Wolves led 19-4 at halftime.

Ainsley Hartle added 11 points for North Clarion with Brooke Steinman adding eight.

Ava Patrick had eight for Keystone.

                          

NOTES – Lily joins her older sister, Lindsay, in the 1,000-point club. Lindsay Homan scored 1,303 career points at Venango Catholic in a career that ended in 2014 … Homan has played for her dad, Skip, in all but one of her years. Skip Homan was her coach at Venango Catholic in 2021 and 2022 and is her coach at North Clarion this year. Terry Dreihaup coached her last year at North Clarion.
