
MEADVILLE, Pa. – Jacob Thompson ran for 103 yards and two touchdowns as Meadville got the inside track on another Region 4 title with a 32-8 win over Oil City.
Thompson had a 64-yard touchdown run and also opened the scoring with a 5-yard run.
It was all about the big plays for Meadville, as Tate Reichel connected with Brighton Anderson for a an 8-yard touchdown
Oil City scored its lone touchdown of the game in the second quarter, as Cole Findlay hit Gavin Stephens for an 89-yard touchdown pass.
The only score of the second half came from the Bulldogs, as Reichel connected with Williams on a 32-yard touchdown.
Jordan Lawrence also had a 5-yard rushing touchdown for Meadville, which improved to 5-1 with the win (Oil City fell to 4-2).
Oil City’s Ethen Knox had 49 yards on the ground.
