McDowell Wrestlers Claims Seven D10 Titles in Class 3A; LeBoeuf, Reynolds Lead the Way at Class 2A Sections Powered by Luton’s Plumbing, Heating, A/C

MEADVILLE, Pa. – McDowell claimed seven individual champions at the District 10 Class 3A wrestling championships on Saturday.

Cathedral Prep and Hickory had three champions each, while Prep was first place in the team standings with 188 points, edging McDowell by one point.

Logan Sallot (114), Javarie Blue (133), Lucas Kurelowch (145), Artis Simmons (152), Caleb Butterfield (160), Troy Petterson (215), and Jack Sroka (285) all won titles for the Trojans.

Meadville had seven wrestlers claim runner-up finishes.

                              

Hickory was third in the team standings with 174, followed by Meadville at 173 and Erie High at 36.

The top three wrestlers in each weight class advanced to next week’s Class 3A North West Regional.

FORT LEBOEUF LEADS THE WAY AT SECTION I CLASS 2A

                          

MEADVILLE, Pa. – Fort LeBoeuf claimed three individual championships at the D10 Section I Class 2A tournament.

LeBoeuf, the PIAA team runner-up, got firsts from Jake Bennett at 121, JoJo Przybycien at 133, and Conner McChsney at 172.

North East claimed two titles courtesy of Rocky Kowle at 114 and Cyrus Hurd at 127, as did Girard (Story Buchanan at 152, Abe Keep at 215) and General McLane (Hudson Spires at 145, Wilson Spires at 215).

LeBoeuf finished with 226.5 team points, followed by General McLane (198) and Corry (174).

The top seven wrestlers in each weight class advance to the District 10 championships.

Claiming titles for the Raiders were Angelo Lomonte at 107, Chase Bell at 133, and Jalen Wagner at 172.

Grove City (Hudson Hohman at 121, Hunter Hohman at 160) and Saegertown (Carter Beck at 114 and Porter Brooks at 215) claimed two titles apiece.

Commodore Perry was second in the team standings with 174.5, followed by Sharpsville at 150 and Greenville at 149.

The top seven wrestlers advanced to next week’s District 10 championships.
