HERMITAGE, Pa. – The Lakeview at Kennedy Catholic football game originally scheduled for Saturday has been canceled because of low numbers due to injury and illness with Kennedy Catholic, as first reported by Bob Greenburg of Sports Radio 96.7.
Lakeview will receive a forfeit win, moving to 3-0 on the season.
Kennedy Catholic came into the season with a roster of under 20.
“The football game has been canceled due to injuries sustained these last few weeks,” Kennedy Catholic Family of Schools said in a release posted to Facebook. “The administration along with the coaching staff believe student health and safety is of the upmost importance and strongly believe this is the correct decision for the team. We are planning on returning next week vs. Cochranton!”
