Kennedy Catholic Girls Score Big Win Over McDowell to Close Regular Season

ERIE, Pa. – Kennedy Catholic went on a 12-2 run in the third quarter en route to a 46-32 win over McDowell in a playoff tune-up for both squads.

Kennedy Catholic, which ends the regular season on a 16-game winning streak, got 17 points from Layke Fields in the win.

Monique Vincent was also in double figures for the Golden Eagles with 10 points, while Bella Magestro added six.

Caylen Spano had 10 points for McDowell, while Jessica Hetz added nine.

McDowell will play Erie for the D10 Class 6A title on Saturday, while Kennedy Catholic, the top seed in Class 2A, plays Eisenhower in the quarterfinal round on Saturday.

                                      

CORRY 44, TITUSVILLE 26

CORRY, Pa. – Halle Albers scored 15 points as Corry topped Titusville, 44-26.

Lauren Thomas had nine points and Casey Porter added nine points each for Corry in the win.

Tori Bodamer and Bri Wynn had five points each for Titusville.
